Phenomenal jacket, quality materials, made well, very nice to wear on and off work, nice interior pocket, space for chest and big arms. 5 star all around and wife approved

My favorite jacket. It's very attractive and comfortable. The crinkle collar feels strange but other than that I want this in more colors please.

There is no denying this is a beautiful jacket - Carhartt should do more items in the red duck color! The vintage buttons are also a nice touch along with some other nice cosmetic details like the red thread and blue Carhartt patch. The jacket does have a certain heft to it - not quite to the levels of "old" Carhartt. Nice heavy duty YKK zipper. Upon closer inspection however, there are details in the construction that are disappointing for the price point. The crinkle collar feels odd on the jacket. I noticed several lose threads throughout the jacket and some imperfections in the duck fabric. The sherpa lining is nice, however, it is "saggy" and sewn in differently than my other Carhartt jackets where the lining seems sturdier (and these were made in India and Mexico!). While some of these complaints may be minor, they all add up to a bit of a disappointment - especially for the price point at almost $200 and when you consider Carhartt used to make many more items in the USA that were not marketed as premium products. If you are OK with these minor issues and the price the jacket is beautiful cosmetically and will likely hold up well.
