Coat was absolutely perfect and my daughter loved it

I love Carhart products. I've been searching for a new Carhartt jacket like one I bought years ago, where the zipper came up and included the hood for about 2 inches. I've not found one in a long time until this coat. I live in Wyoming and I breed English springer spaniel so they need walking sunshine rain, snow, and wind. The wind can blow regularly at 50 miles an hour whether it's sunny raining or snowing. Making walking my dogs very difficult so the jacket I wear is very important and needs to zip above my neck and include the hood. This does that perfectly and then some. I love how if I needed to the hood would entirely encompass my whole face and just leave my glasses sticking out for super windy days. I just got it so I haven't used it in the really cold weather yet, but it feels very warm and I bought a large so that I could wear a sweatshirt underneath it. Of course my Carhart hoodie. Purple being my favorite. I wanted to address the reviews that I read in regards to the zipper problems. The jacket I received the zipper glides beautifully. Actually even better than other Carhartt jackets that I've had. So I'm not sure what the problems were. That other people have had with the zippers, but mine was perfect. The size is exactly what I needed. I could've ordered a medium, but I know I put layers on and so I ordered a large and I love how it comes down over my hips, which will help to keep me even warmer. Please make one in purple. The only problem is the color selection.??. And that's because I'm not your standard black blue brown person. I like colors.

I spent many hours researching the best winter coat, because it is an investment. This jacket beat out several others with the best ratings. I read many reviews to help choose my size (I'm 6'1") and felt the medium would fit best. It fits great with a t-shirt on, but is snug in the shoulders with a light sweatshirt on. Also, the arms are about 1.5-2" too short, which is a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, this jacket is durable, sturdy, and warm.

The double zipper on this... expect to be pulling this over your head or stepping into. There's only one zipper line skeleton, and 2 functions (zip keys ) one from the top and bottom/meets halfway however you like it. These do not come off and are hardwired to the coat. Unless you want to break it so it freely opens.

The coat is warm but getting it zipped up is a struggle. Wish there were snaps instead of Velcro for a quick and close.
