Great -1
Great jacket that really blocks the wind and keeps in warmth. I might test it during our -30 to -40C winter with layers underneath, but not very far. Like others have mentioned, it is a bit noisy and does ride up a little, but it is a bomber style and they will do that. I took a chance ordering online without trying on first and I knew these jackets were of the shorter body length. Despite customer service telling me the actual dimensions and that the arm lengths were more than long enough, I ordered the XXL Tall and it fit perfect. I'm 6'6" and I usually wear a XL Tall from lets say Eddie Bauer. So, my arms are 36" - 36.5/36.7 The body length just fits me but it is nice and roomy, especially in the belly area. I bend over and the belly pops out, making me look obese but that's half to do with the pockets on the belly. They don't have and buttons/zippers and they pop out a little, making you look a little wider. My only main complaint is the outside pockets themselves. I think there are more than enough reviews and complaints about your jackets not having exterior pocket zippers. This would've made me give a 5 star review. I rely heavily on my pockets while being outdoors, around town and working. Not worrying about losing your stuff would be a bonus. Plus, snow will deposit in these wide open pockets.

Great
Great jacket. I like that it does not have dangling adjusters like most jackets on the bottom, those just get caught on everything. It is a very comfortable jacket that allows me to move. Its not quite as warm as I would like, but it is very warm. For Temperatures under 30F degrees you will probably have to layer up some. But for 30F+ its fine on its own with only a shirt on underneath. I would recommend it though if you looking for a good quality Carhartt Jacket.

Worthwhile to buy and try
The real test will be in 5 years, will it retain the 5 stars? Out of the gate, very warm, roomy and a great fit for an athletic build. The cuffs are nice and snug, the waist elastic as well. I like the pockets inside and out. Looking forward to seeing what abuse it survives for being built to work. Very glad I took a chance with the Extreme. I'm debating on the bibs...
