How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

measure women's pants

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Hip/Seat:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Inseam:

Measure from your crotch down to the desired length on body. You may also measure pants that you currently own and like. Lay the garment flat and smooth out. Measure on the front from the crotch point along the seam to the hem for the inseam length.

Saved my Knees
I'm a field botanist/ecologist who has been using Carhart''s in rugged terrain for over 40 years. While I agree the duck double-front pants aren't quite as rugged as many years ago, the double front material protected my legs and knees from a recent 30-40-foot fall off a cliff. I was extremely fortunate I survived with only a hip fracture, primarily because of busting through a Fraser fir canopy versus a nearby rocky edge. My knees were scuffed in addition to a gouge in my right leg, but the Carhart pants came out unscathed except for bloody spots and a small tear on my rear. I do think wearing the Carhart's helped to protect my legs and knees. I would have kept the Carhart's to wear again, but the trauma team would not allow me to undress myself, cutting them off as seen in the attached images. I will be purchasing another pair of these jeans as well as the iconic type!

I expected the relaxed fit legs to be looser, but I didn't expect the waist size to be so much wider than the straight fit.

I once believed in this trusted brand. After 7 months use there is a whole worn out in my crotch. Keep in mind. I can buy work pants for half the price that last longer. This is the last item I will rver purchase from them.

Good but off
The waist to leg ratio is a bit off. The leg a bit too wide for the waist.

They dont last
The crotches tear out pretty easily. Purchased 4 pair last summer and three have split after less than 2 dozen uses. The fourth is showing signs it about to go. I wear/wore them on the weekends doing projects around the house yard, so they are not seeing full time use. I have another pair of the double fronts I picked up over a decade ago that are still going strong. Purchased an old home last summer I am doing a lot of work to on the weekends and one pair of pants wasnt enough, and thats why I decided to grab some more. I love the knee pad pockets.
