THERE'S NO BLUEPRINT FOR BUILDING A BETTER WORLD,SO HERE'S HOW WE'RE DOING IT
We don't have all the answers. We've also never claimed to be perfect. But we do know that if we want to be better, we need to do a lot more for the different communities we serve and hardworking people everywhere. More listening. More understanding. More working with the right people, partners, and organizations that can help us put more words into action. Because we can be better. And even then, we can do more

Everything we do is out of love and respect for hardworking people and the communities in which they live, work, and play. That’s why we partner with organizations that provide us with the greatest opportunity to positively impact the next generation of workers, both now, and in the future.

EDUCATING AND TRAINING THE FUTURE BUILDERS OF A BETTER WORLD
Carhartt has been a longtime partner of SkillsUSA to help provide trade and technical school students
all across the nation with a blueprint for workplace readiness. Connecting them with specialized instruction,
hands-on experience, and the one-on-one skilled trades learning and growth opportunities they need to excel in the working world.
Emphasizing a unique curriculum that places value of technical and academic skills, workplace skills, and personal skills such as integrity,
work ethic, and professionalism, SkillsUSA truly empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens.
It’s a mission we stand behind, and are proud to support.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt provides financial support to programs dedicated to training our future workforce.
On Labor Day, $316,509 in online sales was donated to support our friends at SkillsUSA and the important work they do.
WE’RE GOING TO NEED SOMEONE TO FEED THIS BETTER WORLD WE’RE BUILDING
Future Farmers of America is committed to providing young people interested in a career in farming, agriculture,
and more, with a path to leadership, personal growth, and success. The National FFA Organization works to arm students
with the knowledge and skills needed to rise to future challenges, while also developing their unique talents and interests
in a broad range of agricultural career pathways. Because this better world we’re building is going to need more Future
Biologists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers, and Future Entrepreneurs of America, too.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt funds student participation in national convention, and programming designed to educate and inspire
anyone pursuing a future in agriculture.
TO BUILD A BETTER WORLD WE NEED TO START WITH OUR NEXT GENERATION
Every summer, Grow Detroit’s Young Talent creates jobs for over 8,000 Detroit youth. These jobs provide the training and
tools needed to help our next generation learn about community service, craftsmanship, project management, and many more life-long skills.
But most importantly, they give our minority youth access to opportunity they may have never had – especially as minorities make up 98% of the
youth in Detroit. At Carhartt, we believe everyone deserves the same fighting chance to build a better future for themselves and the community
they call home.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt is an active participant in the mentor program that provides young people with real on-the-job training and experience.
This past June, Carhartt made a $200,000 donation to help provide our next generation with the training, tools, and opportunity needed to build the best future.
WORKING TOGETHER TO STRENGTHEN THE FABRIC OF OUR COMMUNITIES
The Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center (ISAIC) is a
Detroit-based non-profit built on the belief that “Sustainability Starts with People.” At Carhartt, we couldn’t agree more. So, we joined them on
their mission to begin re-inventing the apparel and sewn-goods industry with human-centered values, educational opportunities, advanced technology,
and a commitment to sustainability in people and processes. Recently, we dedicated the third floor of our flagship Detroit Store to ISAIC’s new state-of-the-art
learning and contract manufacturing center. Here, new career paths in the fashion industry are forged, opportunity is created, and lives and communities are forever
fashioned for the better. Just like us, there is deep purpose and pride in every stitch.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt funded the build-out of ISAIC’s new state-of-the-art learning and contract manufacturing center located in the 13,000 square-feet above our flagship Detroit Carhartt Store.
To help ensure a successful launch, Carhartt donated 19 sewing machines, as well as the financial support to cover two full apprenticeships.

Together with local leaders, organizations, and friends, we work to create real opportunities within the communities we serve, and all the places hardworking people call home.

BECAUSE EVEN IN A BETTER WORLD, PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS NEED HEROES
Carhartt supports Team Rubicon in their mission to do everything in their power to help whenever and
wherever disaster hits. In the aftermath of tragedy, TR deploys volunteer first responders to the underserved
and economically challenged communities where they can make the greatest impact possible. But the work these heroes
do goes well beyond rebuilding our communities. It also positively impacts the lives of military veterans transitioning
back to civilian life by providing a renewed sense of purpose, community, and identity through volunteering.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt proudly supplies financial support to Team Rubicon’s Ready Reserve – so they can say ‘Yes’ to unplanned operations.
We are also the official grey t-shirt worn by the volunteer Greyshirts, donating over 15,000 Force Delmont t-shirts in 2020.
BUILDING A BETTER WORLD STARTS IN OUR BACKYARD: DETROIT
Before we built the Carhartt Workshop, we thought about how we can best serve the people and the city of Detroit.
That’s why, located on the second floor of our flagship Detroit Store, we provide the resources our hardworking
community needs to do anything from kicking off a project to starting a career in the trades. Offering free training,
tool rental with professional instruction, meeting spaces, and more. Because when you’re building a better world, the best place to start is at home.

REMOVING THE BARRIERS THAT EXIST BETWEEN US TO BUILD A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL
Life Remodeled exists to transform lives. Making lasting impacts in Detroit neighborhoods by partnering with residents to create safe,
inspirational pathways to schools and homes. But what truly excites us about this partnership is the way their process for beautifying Detroit
neighborhoods has a way of remodeling mindsets too. By putting people with drastically different backgrounds in a situation that wouldn’t occur
otherwise, and having them work side-by-side to do something they both care about and believe in, Life Remodeled creates the kind of change that runs
far deeper than aesthetics. What they’re building is a greater sense of understanding, and the beginning of long-forming bonds.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt supports Life Remodeled in their pursuit of building a more beautiful, more inclusive Detroit. Along with financial support, we encourage
all associates to volunteer their time and effort to helping our friends at Life Remodeled as part of our annual Day of Giving.
BEAUTIFYING THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF THE BETTER WORLD WE’RE BUILDING
The ability to replace blight with beauty in the city Carhartt calls home. That’s why we couldn’t be
prouder to partner with Hantz Woodlands, a non-profit created with the goal of building truly livable neighborhoods,
one square-mile at a time. Clearing over 180 acres of brush, weeds, and debris, demolishing over 60 abandoned structures,
and planting over 25,000 hardwood trees since 2008.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt is proud to support Hantz Woodlands and its mission to restore our communities one square-mile at a time.
In addition to product donations, employees participating in our annual Day of Giving are encouraged to volunteer with our friends at Hantz Woodlands.
HOPE: THE BUILDING BLOCK OF A BETTER WORLD
Where there’s life, there’s hope. That’s why Carhartt’s proud is proud to partner with our friends at Convoy of Hope.
Since 1994, the nonprofit started by the Donaldson family has been bringing hope to impoverished and disaster struck communities
across the world. To date, they’ve provided over 130 million men, women, and children with the nourishment, water, and other essentials
needed to live, while working to equip vulnerable communities with the tools and training necessary to produce life-sustaining crops for
themselves.
HOW WE HELP: Carhartt provides the rugged, durable gear needed for carrying out the Convoy of Hope’s disaster relief efforts.
We also provide employee volunteers as part of our annual Day of Giving.
