Review of Coat Style 102207
We had purchased 8 of these coats for a Facility group that I over see. We use the jackets in cold weather and the group is very happy with them.

I will typically wear out a Carhartt work coat every year. I haven’t had this one long enough to have an opinion on the durability but I’m sure it has Carhartt quality. I really like the sleeve length and cuff where there is no void when wearing gloves. Overall a little pricey but a great looking coat and easy to move around in.

Lifetime Jacket!!
My first Carhartt jacket! I had an Artic Coat in a xl (I’m a large, 6’1 180 lbs full on dad bod but carry it decent enough). The jacket was great albeit too big. I wanted something lighter that I can actually get some field work done in as well wear into town. I did the research and found the Full Swing Cryder Jacket. I read that many size down so a large may order a medium. I instead ordered a large tall and machine washed per the care instructions and dried accordingly. Perfect fit!! I have enough room for a zip up fleece if it’s really cold, and it would have to be really cold to need a fleece because this jacket is warm; almost like it has a thermostat inside that keeps me at a perfect temp. The Quick Duck feels great and my kids don’t mind if my jacket brushes against their skin (wives second this trait). The detachable hood is arctic quilt lined as well and the entire jacket is also coated with Rain Defender; coupled with the inherent properties of Quick Duck I have high hopes of keeping a lighter jacket in the rain compared to other materials from Carhartt. Side pockets have hidden button closures as does the hood attachment point. Fine zippers for breast pockets. Has a nice drop tail on the jacket and a drop point type of sleeve with a secure knit inner cuff. 30 years from now I’ll be telling grandkids all the memories I made in this jacket!

Great around town or up in the mountains.
Great Quality, well made as expected from Carhartt. It’s not real heavy or warm, but with the research I did it was perfect. I ordered mine a bit large so I could layer up underneath it if necessary.

How warm is this coat? I’d say the average temp by me is 15 degrees in winter, will this coat keep me warm?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't say enough about this jacket. It's great. Where I am from, it averages 14 degrees and it suits me just fine. If you are out for longer periods of time and the temp dips below 13 degrees, you may want a carhartt sweatshirt underneath, but that all depends on your tolerance and level of activity. If you are a flagger on a job site, you may want the sweatshirt. If you are the foreman, standing by sipping a cup o joe, you may want the sweatshirt. If you are the breakneck, hammer swinging, jackhammer riding Bulldawg that all the ladies fawn at while driving past going 15 mph through a work zone hoping to see beads of sweat condensate off that full head of hair, you may want to forego the sweatshirt. Regardless, the decision to wear extra garments should be a much harder one than the decision to buy this jacket, because this jacket is the undisputed heavyweight champion in a world full of lightweights. Cheers!
