Relaxed 11" Ripstop Cargo Work Shorts

I find it hilarious or just plain sarcasm for Carhartt to call these shorts and their pants that match "Rip-Stop" when all they do is rip with one day's work. The Rip-Stop have these little horizontal lines that go thru them which I believe is supposed to stop a rip from spreading but the rips actually always originate at those lines and spread so fast, your whole crotch or rear end will be hanging out before you can get home and changed. Never cared for the rough material they make the jeans and shorts in as I feel like I'm wearing cardboard and they are super hot and uncomfortable but at least they last me longer than a month. I'm literally spending approximately $600 dollars on Carhartt shorts and jeans each year with literally nothing to show for it after each season is over. Might as well go back to buying cheap shorts and pants from local big box stores because at least they will be a fraction of the cost to replace constantly instead of Carhartt prices.

Great pants, and the snaps on the pockets are much longer-lasting than velcro, which loses adhesion over time.

The fit was slightly snug compared to the other shorts and pants (as I like em a much looser fit) a 44 waist. I always wash in cold and air (hung) dried my shorts as always but feel like these 44's are smaller.

Great work shorts and very durable

Looks good. Fits well. Durability is important in kitchen work, due to sauce and/or oil splashes, food bits, constant movement and a fair amount of sweat. Which they seem to handle well, as I never feel overheated. I've already gotten a good couple weeks' use out of them, and have no doubt they will hold up as well as the pairs I bought them to replace. Which lasted more than five years.
