Needs improvement! Still worth it.
I think they should be longer. Some time I feel that they are better suited for upper shin guards. I sewed mine in to Carhartt pants just so they actually protect my Knees while working.

Maybe bulky but save your knees
A someone who frequently has to kneel for trim carpentry, I stand by these. They are bulky. No denying that. But they are solid.

the heavy duty utility knee pads are very uncomfortable and the way I was kneeing down it actually hurt my knee. I am very disappointed in this product and how could some say its for heavy duty if the knee pads don't work. The Low profile knee pads inserts are really good they have the best support and my knee don't feel a thing. I wish I can get my money back form heavy duty utility knee pads.
