BUST:

Measure the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8 inches below the natural waist.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Good work pants, short pockets
I usually buy the men's equivalent pants but couldn't resist the lovely plum/purple color only offered in the women's version. The additional pocket at the top of the double fronted leg is nice but the fact that the regular pockets are shallower is really annoying. I carry tools in both hip utility pockets as well as a couple tools in my right regular pocket and was sad to realize that even workwear utility pants with a double front are gender coded for the pockets. My tools fell out more than once. Come on Carhartt, do better!

I love, love these. I work in a flower shop and I have never been more comfortable in a pair of pants. No squeezing in places that rather be free, they look professional and cool, I have the plum color, and they are high waisted. I'm 5'5. 130 pounds and 55 years old. I fit the medium.
