Differences between Regular & Tall Sizing:

  • Tall sizes are 2” longer than Regular sizes
  • Tall long-sleeve lengths are 2” longer than Regular sleeve lengths
  • Tall short-sleeve lengths are 1/2” longer than Regular sleeve lengths

How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Chest:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

A heavyweight cotton blend with a durable water repellent finish to keep you dry in light rain.

  • Exterior: 13-ounce, 75% cotton / 25% polyester fleece with DWR finish
  • Carbon Heather: 55% cotton / 45% polyester
  • Care Instructions: Machine wash cold gentle cycle with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low remove promptly. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.

Great Heavy Weight Hoodie
We bought the rain defender loose fit heavyweight hoodie a while back. My husband finally wore it on a cold windy day. He said that the weight of the hoodie definitely kept him warm enough, and he really appreciated the extra pocket within the pouch in front to hold his glasses when he's not wearing it. (It is difficult to find a heavy weight sweatshirt nowadays.) He normally wears an extra large, but we had to exchange it for a large because the "loose fit" made it really big! The quarter zip is very helpful when he wants to keep it on the cooler side or zipped up for extra warmth. We haven't experienced how effective the hoodie is in a light rain, yet. But for now, he loves the hoodie and we're ordering a third one in green.

Too Nice To Size Down
Great hoodie, thick and strong. Not the softest thing in the world, and not as egregiously oversized as I expected; I'm 6'/172# and the L fits but is smaller than I like my sweatshirt, it just covers my wrists and lies even with my beltline. Would definitely buy again and wouldn't be as timid about getting the XL I always purchase, regardless of brand, reviews, etc. Has been effective vs light rain as advertised
