Carhartt and Ford Reveal First-Ever 2027 F-150 Carhartt and Revitalize Historic Detroit Baseball Field

Two Detroit brands continue their partnership with a new truck built for work and life while giving back to the community they call home

Built on shared Detroit roots and a mutual commitment to hardworking people, Carhartt and Ford are marking the next chapter of their multi-year partnership with the debut of the first-ever 2027 Ford F-150 Carhartt and the completion of a revitalized baseball field at Detroit’s Belle Isle.

The latest efforts build on the commitment Carhartt and Ford made earlier this year to create durable products, strengthen communities and support the people who keep them moving forward. The F-150 Carhartt brings that commitment to life through a truck designed around the way hardworking people move between work and life, while the Belle Isle project brings new life to a place where Detroit kids, teams and families come together.

The 2027 Ford F-150 Carhartt builds on the brands’ first truck collaboration, the 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt. Available on XLT Crew Cab models, the F-150 Carhartt combines the capability and versatility consumers expect from Ford with Carhartt-inspired design and work-ready details.

Designed with real-world use in mind, the truck draws directly from Carhartt’s workwear heritage. The two-tone seat construction takes cues from the lines of a Carhartt jacket or bib and incorporates Carhartt’s signature triple stitching, while the texture of the all-weather floor mats was inspired by the bottom of a Carhartt tool bag and carried through to the exterior fender badge.

“The F-150 is built for people whose days don’t stop when the workday ends, and that’s something we understand deeply at Carhartt,” said Ben Ewy, Vice President of Global Product Design at Carhartt. “We wanted every detail to feel purposeful and authentic to both brands, drawing directly from our workwear DNA while creating something that can move just as naturally from the jobsite to everything that comes after.”

The truck also features unique 20-inch wheels, Carhartt badging and exterior graphics, a Carhartt-branded spray-in bedliner, off-road running boards and other distinctive exterior and interior details. The 2027 Ford F-150 Carhartt will be available to order beginning Sept. 15, with vehicles expected to arrive at Ford dealers in early 2027.

The F-150 Carhartt was revealed alongside another meaningful moment for the partnership: the renovation of a baseball field at Belle Isle that serves youth and community athletes from across Detroit.

Improvements include a brand-new scoreboard, custom dugouts with benches featuring F-150 tailgates, new bleachers, new backstop and outfield fencing, rehabilitation of the outfield and other upgrades. Ford and Carhartt associates also rolled up their sleeves to contribute to cleanup, sanding, painting and other hands-on work throughout the field.

More than a dozen community organizations rely on the field for games and practices, including Detroit PAL, Cass Tech High School, the Salvation Army and Michigan Urban Youth Alliance.

“Detroit has been Carhartt’s home since 1889, and supporting hardworking people has always meant more to us than simply making the gear they wear — it means showing up for the communities where they live and work,” said Andi Donovan, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and North American Wholesale at Carhartt. “We’re proud to work alongside Ford and the Detroit community to give this field new life and create a place where the next generation can play, connect and make memories for years to come.”

The F-150 Carhartt and Belle Isle renovation join a growing list of initiatives under the Ford and Carhartt partnership, including bringing ToolBank USA to Detroit, supporting pathways into automotive technician careers and outfitting Ford Auto Tech Scholars with Carhartt gear.
