How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Great product, sizing a bit off
Excellent product, but sizing is off. Purchased a large and fits like a 2XL. Didn't think the loose fit was going to be that over-sized.

Worth the money.
It's very comfortable and I especially like the fact that it's a little longer in length or I'm getting shorter!! So far we've only had mildly cold weather and it has done an adequate job and the hood is handy when it's windy. I would suggest a modification? a nylon pocket on the inside, just something convenient to store things. In my case, I walk my dog and it would be nice to have that pocket for the leash when it's cold and I can then use the outside pockets for my hands.

I love all my carhartt clothing and I have several hooded sweatshirts from mid weight to heavy. The only thing I wish carhartt would do is go back to putting a zipper pocket on the chest like my older ones have or an inside pocket to keep my phone handy.
