The real deal!
I think these are absolutely fantastic it’s a real deal however I do have one complaint. I utilize a carabiner for my keys for work I just wish there was a belt loop on them so I can utilize my carabiner on these. Other than that I would definitely recommend these! Thumbs up across the board!

Great bibs would buy more.
These bibs are perfect. The are made of the highest quality with and emphasis on comfort. The flexible fabricator allows for more mobility than some of the more rigid varieties. Perfect for everything from carpentry to outdoor work.

In there any chance of new colors (especially blue) in 2020? The last answer to this question only covered 2019.

Are these good for Backpacking?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Carhartt clothes are good for everything. However, having to squat in the woods while wearing overalls might require practice before back-packing.
How do the knee pads work?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Roll the knee pad into a tube and insert the widest part of the knee pad into the bottom opening of the double front pant. Face the black side out with the notched side down. Adjust the knee pad to ensure that it lays flat against your leg.
Is the material pre-washed? Do they shrink?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: All of our garments have a 2-4% shrink ratio as long as they are laundered according to the care instructions, so you should not notice any shrinkage.
Is there a leg zip? Can you put on around boots?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No leg zip, but I can't imagine it would be difficult to put on boots as the leg openings are sufficiently large for putting on hiking shoes or other footwear.
Will the length of the torso and/or legs change from the 32/30 down to the 30/30?

How are these with welding? And other iron work
A shopper on Dec 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We don't make any garments that are specifically designed to be worn while welding, or performing similar jobs that involve exposure to sparks and flames. All of our clothing is susceptible to holes and fabric burns created by sparks and metal debris generated by activities such as welding. We will send your comments to our Product Team for further consideration on making welding friendly clothing.
Is this bib going to break wind and be exceptionally warm like most other unlined bibs? Asking if it may keep up with the r01 and sandstone models through the winter.
A shopper on Nov 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes I think it will keep you warm and it does block the wind exceptionally well. I am an amputee and I use it to protect my Prosthetic some changes in wind temperature the only problem I have is purchasing a man’s man all I found that the bib straps on top are not able to be tightened enough and Gabs quite a bit. I also find it difficult to put the bib on with issue it would be nice to have a zipper on the leg at the bottom end to help get over a big winter boots. Other than that it’s wonderfulEnter an answer to this question.
What is the size of the leg opening?
A shopper on Aug 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It varies based on the waist size. The size 34 waist has leg openings with a circumference of about 18."
Ive never worn bibs. Im a 32 in the waist. I notice that bibs fit loose around the waist, should I go up a size?
chris w on May 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: For this style we would recommend going with your waist measurement and normal pant inseam. If your waist measurement is 32 we would recommend a 32 waist. If you are going to be layering these over a pair of pants and heavier shirt or sweatshirt, then we would recommend going up one waist size, in this case to a size 34 waist.
What is the button slit near the top of the bib used for?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is a heritage feature that recollects our early days designing for railroad workers. The "buttonhole" feature you are referring to was traditionally used for a pocket watch.
Will these still repel water like the heavier bibs do? need something for winter/autumn work that is water resistant but also won't have me in a sweat when i stop working
Eric M on Mar 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These bibs are not water repellent. However, they are a great lightweight bib.
How would these bibs perform in hot, humid environments, such as Southeast Texas in the Spring, Summer, and Autumn?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hot and Humid here also, but have worn in those conditions yet. That said, very comfortable and breath well - family says I wear them too much. I feel they will do fine.
Do these fit like other unlined bibs for Carhartt? Add 2 inches to the waist and subtract 2 inches from the inseam?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Please contact us at 1 800 833 3118 for further assistance with sizing.
How do i size these bibs compared to pant size?
A shopper on Feb 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are sized a bit larger than the size listed. If you plan to wear them with just undergarments or very light layers, you would order your actual waist size. If you plan to wear over heavier shirts or pants, you would go up a size.
