Too thin of fabric. Not tough enough for working outdoors in the bush.

They are extremely comfortable and have that broken in feeling. However the size is what takes stars away. Having to order such a big size just to be comfy in the waist make it almost to big in the torso area. Also the length is a big issue. I'm afraid to wash them as they just fit now standing up. Sitting down they ride up. Wish carhartt would bring back the true big and tall sizes.

Good for work in heat
Have worn them to work in the summer heat and they’re definitely made of material that will endure time but also not too thick so they suffocate you. Didn’t want to take them off once I tried them on.

They’re great! I just wish they came in 36” length because they got a bit shorter when they were washed.

I wear 34x28 in the DUCK BIB OVERALLS, will I be the same 34x30 for these overalls? Is the sizing consistent for every Carhartt overalls?
Jess V on Jun 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Sizing will differ between styles. For this style you will want to go by your actual waist measurement. For your inseam you would order normal pant inseam. For example, if you wear a 32” inseam pant, you would wear a 32”
Do any of these styles have a more tapered or smaller opening at the boot?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We will not manufacture any of our overalls with a tapered leg.
My waist is size 39. Should I go for a 38 or 40?
A shopper on May 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I had a tough time fitting these out. I ended up reordering a size smaller in the waist than my normal 31, but then the chest area was too tight. I could never quite get a comfortable fit in either direction (bigger, smaller), so I went with the Rugged Flex Rigby Cargo work pants which fit in my regular size (though are extremely baggy).
Do you sell knee pads to go into the bib overalls ?
A shopper on May 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Our knee pads will be style 103193.
Are you supposed to wear pants under these? Sorry for the dumb question.
A shopper on Apr 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you plan to wear over just undergarments, we recommend going up one size; if you plan to wear over heavier layers, go up two sizes
What style bib should I choose for desert hunting in temps 20-100 F? And still want flexabilty for hiking around?
A shopper on Mar 19, 2020
I wear a 32x30 pant...should I size up? I have average build...please advise...
A shopper on Mar 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The fits are true .my 34s fit great .
Do they have stretch at waist area and will they come in bigger sizes for big and tall eg- 58? Thanks
A shopper on Feb 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style will only go up to a size 50 waist.
Do these or any other non-insulated Carhartt bibs have cargo pockets on the thighs? Other bibs have awesome velcro cargo pockets but the suspenders are horrible. I'd rather own Carhartt but the pocket options seem limited.
Nick C on Feb 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We will not offer Cargo pockets on any of our bib's. This style will have a cell phone pocket. We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
Is then any chance of new colors for these in 2020, ideally blue? The last answer to this only covered 2019.
work user on Jan 20, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry, we will not offer Blue this year. We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
In there any chance of new colors (especially blue) in 2020? The last answer to this question only covered 2019.
A shopper on Jan 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We apologize, we will not have this style coming in any new colors this year.
Are these good for Backpacking?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Carhartt clothes are good for everything. However, having to squat in the woods while wearing overalls might require practice before back-packing.
How do the knee pads work?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Roll the knee pad into a tube and insert the widest part of the knee pad into the bottom opening of the double front pant. Face the black side out with the notched side down. Adjust the knee pad to ensure that it lays flat against your leg.
Is the material pre-washed? Do they shrink?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: All of our garments have a 2-4% shrink ratio as long as they are laundered according to the care instructions, so you should not notice any shrinkage.
Is there a leg zip? Can you put on around boots?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No leg zip, but I can't imagine it would be difficult to put on boots as the leg openings are sufficiently large for putting on hiking shoes or other footwear.
Will the length of the torso and/or legs change from the 32/30 down to the 30/30?
jesse s on Feb 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The bib length at center for a 32x30 will be 13 1/8" while the 30x30 will have a 12 3/4".
Are these offered in a 36” inseam?
A shopper on Jan 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style is not offered with a 36 inch inseam.
Will these be offered in more colors in the future?
A shopper on Jan 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We have not plans for new colors this year.
How are these with welding? And other iron work
A shopper on Dec 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We don't make any garments that are specifically designed to be worn while welding, or performing similar jobs that involve exposure to sparks and flames. All of our clothing is susceptible to holes and fabric burns created by sparks and metal debris generated by activities such as welding. We will send your comments to our Product Team for further consideration on making welding friendly clothing.
Is this bib going to break wind and be exceptionally warm like most other unlined bibs? Asking if it may keep up with the r01 and sandstone models through the winter.
A shopper on Nov 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes I think it will keep you warm and it does block the wind exceptionally well. I am an amputee and I use it to protect my Prosthetic some changes in wind temperature the only problem I have is purchasing a man’s man all I found that the bib straps on top are not able to be tightened enough and Gabs quite a bit. I also find it difficult to put the bib on with issue it would be nice to have a zipper on the leg at the bottom end to help get over a big winter boots. Other than that it’s wonderfulEnter an answer to this question.
What is the size of the leg opening?
A shopper on Aug 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It varies based on the waist size. The size 34 waist has leg openings with a circumference of about 18."
Ive never worn bibs. Im a 32 in the waist. I notice that bibs fit loose around the waist, should I go up a size?
chris w on May 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: For this style we would recommend going with your waist measurement and normal pant inseam. If your waist measurement is 32 we would recommend a 32 waist. If you are going to be layering these over a pair of pants and heavier shirt or sweatshirt, then we would recommend going up one waist size, in this case to a size 34 waist.
What is the button slit near the top of the bib used for?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is a heritage feature that recollects our early days designing for railroad workers. The "buttonhole" feature you are referring to was traditionally used for a pocket watch.
Will these still repel water like the heavier bibs do? need something for winter/autumn work that is water resistant but also won't have me in a sweat when i stop working
Eric M on Mar 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These bibs are not water repellent. However, they are a great lightweight bib.
How would these bibs perform in hot, humid environments, such as Southeast Texas in the Spring, Summer, and Autumn?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hot and Humid here also, but have worn in those conditions yet. That said, very comfortable and breath well - family says I wear them too much. I feel they will do fine.
