Finally! Overalls cut for women
I did the “true fit” sizing and then sized up one size and they fit perfectly. The drop seat in the back is awesome. For some reason I had to order these from the US.. no one sells women’s industrial work gear in Manitoba. Shipping cost sucked.

Great for for a petite frame
I am a petite woman and purchased the x-small short. They fit very well, nice and flexible. There are so many pockets, a big plus. I wear them around a farm in the midwest winter, and they keep me as warm as a pair of snowpants and are significantly more durable.

Great fit
These bibs are great very warm, and can withstand some wet conditions. not 100% waterproof though. But they're great for working in cold weather, easy to move around in. Fits great, plenty of room to put extra layers underneath, not too baggy either.

Comfortable and warm
Great bibs! I manage a stable in Vermont and needed something to keep me warm and dry, but still allow me to move freely and comfortably. These bibs have done all of that. The one thing I would change is to the back of the bib. There is a bit of a gap, which is usually covered by my vest, but it would be nice to have a way to adjust them at that spot to fit a little snugger and keep cold air out. I'm about 5'8" 145lbs and purchased a small, short (not wanting them to drag) and I'm happy with the fit

So far very good
So far very good! Love the drop seat. I am a groundskeeper at the local college and I’ve stayed warm and dry at work even in the wild Wyoming winds and snow storms. My concern would be for the exposed zippers, I’ll let you know how that works for me when the ice storms hit.

Buy these!
These coveralls are great! I am 5'3" 130lbs and got a medium short; they fit perfect in length, and they are loose enough around the waist/body for me to put on layers like a bulky sweatshirt & longjohns underneath. They feel lightweight, but the lining is super warm and snug. The zipper on the sides is absolutely genius! the shoulder straps cross in the back, and once you get the hang of it, they are easy to put on. They have to cross in the back so you don't have to take them off to unzip & use the loo. There are lots of pockets, and this sweet hidden zipper pocket in the front. The canvas is tough, although not as hardy as regular Carhartt duck; but it stood up to my last litter of puppies scratching at them everyday with no pulls or scratches! I highly recommend these. Don't hesitate, treat yourself!!

Absolutely love them, I work on a horse farm full time and these coveralls are nice and light they don’t weigh you down. You can make them heavier by adding a layer underneath your pants for extra warmth but they aren’t overly heavy for when it’s not super cold but you need more than just thermals. Highly recommended.

How are these for plus size women? I can usually wear a 2x... any opinions?
Becca B on Dec 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I think they fit pretty well for plus size women. Although I didnt like their fit guide. I went up a size from what they suggested, cause of my proportion. I am thicker in my waist and bottom. I do wear pants under them. I also wish their short length was a bit shorter. They are extremely comfortable, flexable, and warm. The drop bottom is awesome too. The one negative for me was length. The short size is not short enough. They are not as short as regular short lengths. Due to the zippers at the bottom of the legs, and the extra protected fabric. It would be hard to get them shortened.
Will Carhartt ever make even longer inseams? Tall women need good workwear, too. 36" inseam minimum, even a 37" for us giants!

I ordered an xl by the size chart and its HUGE!!! What is the DIFFERENCE in large and xl? Or should I go a medium?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry to hear the XL was much too large. There will be several differences, but below are some examples of how the Large compares to the XL: the straps will be 1/2" shorter, the waist will be 4" smaller, the front rise will be about an inch shorter, the leg opening will be about 3/4" smaller, and the thigh area will be about 2" smaller.
Are there plans to add a lighter colour option (eg. brown)? Black is not ideal for blackfly season when working in the bush in Northern Ontario.
A shopper on Apr 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not in the near future, but we would be glad to share your interest with Product Design as a suggestion.
My regular 100% cotton bibs won't let briars through them. Will this material also do that or should I stick with 100% cotton for briars?
Amanda B on Feb 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If your talking about plant thorns no I don't think they will get through this either. These are very lightweight/comfortable compared to the normal ones. If your still not sure they make a men's coat out of this same material that local stores should carry, that way you can feel the material before you buy.
Can you be active in these and not get hot? Shoveling snow or walking a lot? I work for the railroad and I need something water resistant and warm that won’t get sweaty. And is the lining soft or the black fabric you use for sleeves of your jackets? Thank you
A shopper on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I work in the film industry in Atlanta, GA. If our show has exterior work to shoot...well then, we have to be prepared for any kind of weather. Winters are cold and damp, that means colder then usual. I have two pairs of your carhartt women's bibs and they thing that is a struggle, is having to peal off layers of clothes to use the restroom. That is one of the reasons why I purchased these bibs.
The new design is awesome, it can be a little struggle unzipping them and zipping back up, but once you got the design figured out, its such a time saver and relief not to have to peel off layers.
They definitely keep me warm when its the 20's/30's and if I'm running around, I almost get too hot but it's worth it!!! I like that the material is cozy soft, which means there is no break in process with the customary carthartt material. I'm a 6/8 womens size and once you wash them, they can shrink little and run a little small when you have a thin under layer. I generally wear thick leggings and 3 top layers . I can really move in these versus the Arctic version, I have.
For the new customer, it takes a bit of figuring out the design with the cross back, it was a bit frustrating and if there is a way to come up with a elastic material cross back, that would make it easier when putting on and when using the restroom for more mobility!!!
Otherwise, a brilliant design for women. A lot of the ladies on set have come up to ask me about these bibs cause they like the way they look on me and when I tell them about the nature calling design, they want to buy immediately!
I'm still a chick and like looking good at work.
Are these available in the Grey? I have the Grey full swing jacket and would like the matching Bibs
michelle d on Jan 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not offer this style in a gray color at this time. We have forwarded this to our product team as a suggestion.
do you think these would these make good snow boarding pants?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t snowboard but I do know the pair of overalls I have have a gap on that backside of the waist area that snow could get down into, my complaint with them is the design of the over the shoulder straps, not a problem if you wear a jacket over them but highly unattractive when just wearing a hoodie under the overalls , they look like suspenders old men wear...however the company isn’t kidding when they advertise they are handy for taking a whizz without having to take off a bunch of layers, so I guess that is the purpose of the open back shoulder strap design!
When will you be restocked in the short sizings?
Christine L on Dec 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We expect more stock in June.
Can you ride and work horses with them on?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes! I've ground mounted a variety of sized horses and rode a LOT in these bibs. You might have to hike them up a bit to get the flexibility to ground mount in the winter, esp. if in deep snow. I've also done ground/round penning in these and have had great range of motion and ability to move.
Are these bibs loud like ski pants or are they quiet for hunting? Thank you
A shopper on Nov 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, they don’t have that loud plastic on plastic sound that ski pants do. However, I returned these bibs and decided on the standard weathered duck wildwood bibs. I found the elastic cross back on the full swing cryder bibs a strange fit for me, and prefer the standard bib design, which are still really warm. Hope this helps.
there are 2 different answers on the inseam question. Can I please know (accurately) what the short, regular and tall inseams are? Thank you
A shopper on Nov 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The actual measurement of the leg area in short is 29," the regular is 31," and the tall is 33." However, because these are bibs, the trunk hangs lower than on regular pants. Some of the "length" of the garment comes from the trunk of the bib. Thus, taking into account the part of the trunk area that hangs low and the actual leg length, the overall short inseam is considered to be 30," the regular would be 32," and the tall would be 34." Please call Customer Service if you need further clarification.
Will these keep me dry in heavy or constant rainfall? I walk power lines for a living and spend hours in wet weather.
Marriah B on Nov 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This style is water repellent. It is ideal for light rain and wet weather.
How does the warmth of these compare to that of the insulated zeeland sandstone bibs?
Kyrsten W on Nov 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We don't temperature-rate our garments, but you would probably find the Zeeland to be a bit warmer.

I'm 5'2, would I require a women's short or regular length in the overalls?
A shopper on Nov 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The short inseam is 29" and the regular inseam is 31" in this style.
What's the difference in the thinsulate lining and the basic quilted lining in the other bibs you have?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thinsulate is made to provide significant warmth without bulk.
What material is the inner lining? Is it quilted? What is the shortest inseam length?
A shopper on Nov 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The lining is made of quilted stretch taffeta, and the insulation is 60g of Thinsulate. The "short" inseam is 30."
Will this be coming out in Carhartt Brown any time soon?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not in the near future, but we'll be glad to share your interest with Product Design.
What is the inseam of the tall sizes?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The "tall" inseam in this style is 34."
Is this warm enough for Wisconsin below 0 weather? I just want something warm for walking my dog.
CeeJay on Sep 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature-rate our garments, but this bib features 60 grams of Thinsulate insulation.
