Quick Duck Icon

Quick Duck®

Quick Duck® is our lightest durable canvas fabric. It is 30% lighter than traditional sandstone, but ounce for ounce as durable.

Quick Duck® canvas is 30% lighter than traditional sandstone duck, but just as durable. Even better, Quick Duck® now comes with 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation for warmth without the weight. It’s also built with Rain Defender® durable water repellent so moisture beads up and rolls off. Your workload isn't getting any lighter, so your gear better be.
Rain Defender Icon

Rain Defender®

Rain Defender®, Durable water repellent—water beads up and rolls off.

Rain Defender® durable water repellent garments are just as functional and comfortable while fishing, hunting, working, or standing on the sidelines at a football game in a sudden November rain. Water will bead up and roll off your sweatshirt, jacket, overalls, pants, and more, so a little rain won’t stop you from finishing the job without changing your gear.

Do not buy if you aren’t positive of fit. Shrinks and runs right in mid section. Not described well.
Very disappointed in this vest and the reviews on this website that steered me into the purchase and the size. Joshua W said he normally wears a large but ordered a medium in this vest that was perfect. No one on here tells you how terribly it shrinks. I wear a large long or XL in most outerwear depending on the brand. So I ordered a Large long as I wanted to be able to work in it. I tried it on with a bulky sweatshirt knowing it could shrink some with my knowledge of FR cotton clothes. Seemed fine and lose even. Then I tried it on after washing and I can barely zip it. I’m 6’’0”, 200 lbs. lean. Athletic build. 34 pants. Not big and I can barely zip it. Now I’m out a large portion of my company provided alottmmet for the year because tyndale will not take it back if it was washed. So I have a useless $150.00 vest. Seems like a pretty nice vest. I will say but the fit is way offend the reviews on here are misleading.

Great for times when you are in gloves and sleeves.
Easy to work in with rubber sleeves and gloves on. Keeps me warm and able to move more freely than with a coat. The fabric isn’t as tough as the fabric the fr bibs are made of.

Expect nothing less from Carhartt
Electrical Troubleman, I have the jacket version of this insulated quick duck FR and the vest is perfect for coastal climate. Plenty of warmth with the durability I have come to expect of Carhartt . I will continue to wear Carhartt until somebody else comes up with a way to make a more comfortable, durable, and dependable product.

Great FR Vest
Excellent fit and quality. Very comfortable. I wear large in every other brand but medium in Carhartt. Some hand pockets without buttoned flaps would be nice but not a deal breaker.

Best of the Best
I had one of these in the past for 7 years. Recently ordered another one. This vest is amazing and durable. The industry I work in requires electrical safety to be at its highest level. I am a HSE safety manager this time and I require this item as one of my crews mandatory items during chilly months. The quality is second to none and the style is second to none!
