Upper could be smaller diameter
I think the boot is a great quality boot, but I don't like how big the upper is. It's hard to fit normal pants over the boots.

Sole split in less than 6 months
I bought these boots for the aggressive tread. I wore them every day for 6 months and the sole has split in 3 areas . This is not normal wear and tear as the boot still has plenty of tread left .

Second Pair
This will be his second pair of this boot, he bought the original pair back in 2014 and he wore the sole out on them before the rest of it fell apart, he's hard on boots and very picky about them (thank hiking, scouts and the military for that).

Full Stout
Pretty comfortable right out of the box. Working in the water / wastewater industry and new construction, so far have passed in he test: This is only my second full week wearing them daily so far so good. Slipping them on and off is also nice since I only had laced boots in the past.

this is the 2nd similar type of Carhartt boot I have owned. this second pair seems much sturdier in construction and will probably last longer than the first pair. I did find that ordering the same size as the previous boot was a mistake because they are not the same. I have to order one size larger.

Are they hot in the summer?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I personally don't know the boyfriend never complains about it, we live in Ohio and he wears them all year round, they are a work boot so I would assume they would be no different then any other pair of similar work boots like a pair of Justins.
Do they come in extra wide sizes?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not offer extra wide sizes.
Do the style cmp 1100 come with steel capped which style does please.?

BEST ANSWER: These boots are not insulated.
What is the difference between these and cmp1120 and does these have orthopaedic sole like cmp1120?
A shopper on Jan 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The CMP1120 is a discontinued style. It features a brown oil tanned leather with an abrasion resistant Cordura upper. Some of the main differences in the CMP1100 is it has Bison brown oil tanned leather and an abrasion resistant Ballistic 1200D upper. It has the TPU heel guard as well. In addition, the welt construction is slightly different from one to the other.

Neither boot features an orthopedic insole, but they both have removable cushion insoles.
Is it ok to use Mink oil, or conditioning oil on these?
A shopper on Dec 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We only recommend spot cleaning these with water and a mild soap.
Will this boot keep feet Dry in the Snow?
Gil G on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are a waterproof boot, so they should definitely help with that. However, they are not considered a snow boot.
are they thick deep real rubber treads?
A shopper on Sep 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this style features thick rubber treads.
Are they true to size?
A shopper on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Carhartt boots are sized according to industry standards. If you measure your foot using one of the metal Brannock Devices they commonly have in shoe stores, it should give you an idea of what size to order in Carhartt boots.
What is the source of this product?
Anna C Staff on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This product is imported.
