I've had two of these beds for the dogs for 3 or 4 years now. The bed covers have held up better than any other bed- and we have one dog that likes to paw at her bed before laying down. The dog hair vacuums off the fabric easily. The zippers are large and durable and allow the covers to be easily removed, vacuumed and machine washed. I would ignore the other 1 Star reviews about dogs chewing holes in the beds. If a dog is going to chew, it's going to chew a hold in any type of fabric material, so it's really not fair to give the dog bed a poor review as a result. It takes time and attention to fix those problems- or the the underlying problem. I've owned German shorthaired pointers going on 30 years now. We have owned dozens of dog beds from various makers for multiple dogs- and these are by far the best, easiest to clean, most functional and durable beds we've ever owned.

Highly disappointed I spent extra money on this bed vs others in hopes that this bed would last my dog and unfortunately he still managed to chew a hole in it

I bought this thinking this would be hard for my puppy to put a hole in. I was wrong:(

Excellent customer service from Carhartt. This is a very comfortable bed for my dog and cat but mostly my dog. She is an Irish Doodle and weighs 52 lbs. The covering is very sturdy and I have washed it many times.

Got this bed hoping it would be the one my pointer shepherd mix dog wouldn't or couldn't chew through. But, he chewed through it in less than a single night.
