Storm Defender®

Storm Defender Jacket

Storm Defender® waterproof, breathable technology stops rain, but lets sweat escape through a breathable membrane ― so you can work through a storm.

Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It’s made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn’t stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt’s jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.

How to Measure

Diagram showing where to measure chest, natural waist, and hips.

CHEST:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Insulated lining sucks
Gloves are fine. Insulated liners became detached from tips of fingers after one use. Every time I take the glove off now, liners turn inside out. Frustrating and annoying.

good gloves if you plan on using them once a week. If you are a full-time worker like myself and need these for the cold winter months, don't expect them to last. I used to only use his gloves ever so often and they held up pretty good, but as soon as I use them five days a week for about three weeks holes ripped and all the fingertips besides the pinkies. Even when there is no holes in them, they don't tend to keep your hands very warm whatsoever as soon as it's below 35° your hands will get very cold in about an hour or two, but I do have to say it is a cool design to them. they look cool, but function just isn't really there for an every day worker.

35 degrees is too cold for these gloves
I work at a Fresh and frozen cold storage facility, and I had a pair that looked similar that lasted several years. Unfortunately, they must have changed manufacturing because the new pair isn't as warm as my old gloves (and they even have holes in them).

Dexterity and warmth
I work outside on the grounds crew at a golf course. These gloves keep my hands warm and give me the dexterity to do the work I need to do.
