Storm Defender®

Storm Defender Jacket

Storm Defender® waterproof, breathable technology stops rain, but lets sweat escape through a breathable membrane ― so you can work through a storm.

Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It’s made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn’t stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt’s jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.

$200 for 3 years!
The last pair of $300 boots I bought only last me a year and it's a famous name brand. Although carhartt is a well known brand, I've had their common jacket for 10 years now and it's held up amazing. I work in the industrial maintenance field so I see environments from land fills, to chemical spills, paper mills, waste water treatment plants, the nastiest places you can imagine. These boots I call them my "Lamborfeeties" as they've been the best pair of boots my feet have walked in. They were a little tight in the break in, but they've lasted me about 3 years now of daily abuse. I'm only trading up soon because where the leather meets to the boot is separating and cracked after constant abuse and crouching down and climbing. As for keeping my feet warm and dry until failure, it's done its part great. I got the steel toed variant and I've never had a foot injury wearing these bad boys, all the way up to electrical hazards. They take some time getting used to but slipping these on have always felt amazing. I spend about 8-16 hours average in these boots per day and i have YET to experience any foot or leg fatigue after walking 6-10 miles a day. Also the traction is amazing! I'm still wearing them as we speak.

Good for less physical demanding work.
Got these after I realized I needed to upgrade from a Tractor Supply boots(Ridgecut) as a pair of theirs wears out within 6 months. I like this Carhartt boots, but would not recommend for heavily uneven terrain work such as hard/landscaping. I am a groundsman. Worn out close to a year.
