BUST:

Measure the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8 inches below the natural waist.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Runs large but still an amazing vest
I had to exchange the vest for an XS (I'm 5' 4", 130#). The shoulder area still has a gap but the rest of the vest fits nicely with amble space for extra layers underneath. I really like the 6 pockets especially the left chest pocket that is roomy enough for a cell phone. The hand pockets have a reverse flap that helps avoid objects slipping out. The soft neck line and insulation make this a great vest for when you're not sure what type of conditions you'll face stepping out the door.

I got a medium and it was too tight to fit around my gut. and the zipper was a bit troublesome to attach. i probably should have gotten a large.
