Medium was too small
I like them but am disappointed that the medium doesn't fit my hips very well. I'm a bit curvy so my ratio might be atypical for their sizing? I usually wear a 29/6/M and thought medium would be great. It fits but it's not comfy like I'd hoped.

I like it
I like the overall look. It's true to size. I ordered this in a blue. I will be ordering another one in a different color.

These are PERFECT for doing my morning barn chores. I'm only 5 feet tall and the shorts work fine.

Black quilted Bibs are now Blue!
I have wore Carhartt's pretty much my entire life but more lately since we have a herd of horses. I'm reviewing the quilted women's Carhartt bibs- Black in a size Medium short (5'4 & 160 at purchase). I believe this is my 2nd winter with these bibs. First the greatness: They are warm! Temp doesn't get to 0 much but typical winter temps are the teens-20's and these keep me toasty. The fit is nice. I don't feel I have a long torso but had to let the adjustable straps out all the way to be comfortable. I love the heavy duty elastic on the sides of the midsection. I also like the heavy duty material on bottom on legs and the zipper- approx. 12" makes getting your boots off and on much easier! I deducted a star because after washing them per the instructions for the 3rd time and they are blue now. If nothing black is next to them then it's harder to tell. It's not a big deal, but I prefer the actual black color. The quality just isn't as good as it was before.

Upgraded to my First Pair of Women's Overalls
I wanted to write a review because this was a big purchase for me, and I wanted to get it right. I'm lucky enough to live outside of Cincinnati, where there's a Carhartt store. It was about an 80-mile round trip, but absolutely worth it to make sure I ordered the correct size. First, I want to say the staff who helped me at the Rookwood location were fantastic. When I went in, they did look at me a little funny when I was trying them on in the aisleway. On most days, I look like a walking Carhartt billboard, and for good reason, everything they make is excellent quality and lasts a long time. We live in a rural area with several farm stores nearby, but they mostly carry men's overalls. I have had a pair of men's for years, which don't fit me well, but I made them work. I think it's important to include sizing details, so others have a reference point. I'm 5'3", about 170 pounds, and wear a 36I bra. I've always had a hard time finding clothes that fit correctly on top, so being able to try on different sizes was really important. I ended up ordering a large/short, and they fit great. Since these are lined/insulated, you definitely need to allow room for layers underneath. I usually wear base layers, but I tried them on with jeans to make sure I had enough space. In the store, I tried on several pairs, but they didn't have a large size in any length. I tried on a medium, which was too small, and an extra large, which was too big. The staff helped me place the order, and despite the holidays, they arrived in about three shipping days. With jeans underneath, they're a bit snug, but with just a base layer, I have room. The length is perfect with my boots on. As expected, the straps are almost fully extended. I do wish there was a bit more room in the crotch and thigh area for squatting purposes-since they don't stretch, they can be uncomfortable in certain positions. I mostly use these to stay warm while doing farm chores or shovelling snow, and they definitely keep you warm. If you're moving around, you'll heat up quickly. Overall, these are a huge improvement over the men's overalls I've been wearing for years. I highly recommend trying them on in person if you can. If not, really study the size chart and take your measurements-the chart is pretty spot on. Yes, they do run big, but they need to so you can comfortably wear layers underneath.
