Learn to Solder 101
This class teaches up to 5 participants the basics of using a soldering iron and the individual components that make up a synthesizer, such as LEDs and microcontrollers.
How to Build a Garden Bed
Part of our spring gardening workshop series, this class provided materials, documented plans, and the tools needed to build a bed for their gardens.
Drywall 101
This class introduces the different tools of the drywall trade, plus all the basics of hanging drywall, including techniques for securing, sanding, and paint prep.
Bee Hotel
Using cor-ten steel, baltic birch, plywood, and cedar shake roof shingles, we made a native bee hotel which allow bees to find refuge in what might otherwise be a “bee desert.”
Intro to Nailers & Compressors
This class was an introduction to the different nailers and compressors we provide and how to set them up properly to frame houses, replace roofs, apply trim work, etc.
Intro to Plumbing and Pex
This class was an introduction to the various types of plumbing and PEX tools we have available at the Carhartt Workshop. In this 3-hour class, users learned the basics of plumbing tools and plumbing layout.
With two work stations, and full access to our Tool Bench Library, the DIY Demo Space is ideal for workshops where real-time feedback and instruction is essential.
