How to Measure

CHEST:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Fits

Slim Fit: slimmer through hip and thigh; straight leg. Relaxed Fit: relaxed through hip and thigh; tapered leg. Loose Fit: full through hip and thigh; wide leg.

Great for hard working jobs
Have had these pants still and I work on a Tow Boat on the Mississippi River they hold up well to the work very durable and relaxed fitting. I am buying another pair soon

Appear to be great pants but size up
The pants look great. I really like the pockets and the overall look of the pants. However, the relaxed fit apparently only applies to below the knee. Granted I workout a lot and have larger than average legs but I size up for this already with all the pants I buy. I did the recommended fit and it said to go with the same size that I normally do with 5.11 pants. These are so tight in the thigh I can barely pull them up. Looking now at the "seat" measurement I should have gone up yet another size at least. Not sure how they are labeling these as relaxed fit and claim they give you comfortable fit through seat and thigh, yet I have to size up 2 sizes.

THE BEST! ....but what happened to production?
These are the best work pants on the market IMO. I’ve been through just about every other offering Carhartt has, and while some of the others are good (steel and rigby), these are by far the most comfortable and FLEXIBLE! They aren’t too slim but also aren’t as baggy as most of their offerings. The fit is perfect! I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few pair of Kakhi and grey but I’ve been on the email list for the olive for months now, where are they at Carhartt?! I wish they were available in more colors as these have become my daily go-to work pants. If there is a 3.0 version in the making don’t be afraid to add even more stretch! Once you go stretch you never go back!
