Great overall, size up
Got these for my dad. Sizing gave us some issues, so definitely size up in the waist if you plan to wear any type of layer beneath them. A little heavy, but that's what you want in a work coverall.

????
Worth EVERY penny!! As a commercial plumber/construction worker, I've ultimately learned that investing in quality work wear is usually money well spent. In my experience, Carhartt products have always been exemplary with regards to both comfortability and durability.

Their lined overalls have been keeping me well insulated during the early morning hours of my shift at work and even act as light protection and padding, which comes in handy when crawling around up in tight ceiling full of insulation, bits of demo'd plaster, chicken wire and Lord knows what all else.

His new favorite overalls
I bought these for my partner who is a mobile diesel mechanic. He absolutely loves them. They fit true to size, and he especially likes the zippered chest pocket for carrying his phone during the day where it won't fall out. The insulation is just right so that he can just wear long underwear and a sweatshirt underneath and be comfortable in the PNW winter. The navy blue color is really good-looking, and hides the inevitable grease and dirt pretty well.

The R41
My first pair, and I am just impressed with every aspect of this bib. The quilt lining keeps me warm, and completely eliminates winter wind issues. With only a pair of long johns on underneath, I was toasty warm in below zero weather. The only thing I could ask to change is for Carhartt to make classic products like the R41 in the USA.

Watch size
Be sure to order 2 sizes larger than normal waist size if you plan to wear clothes under them. Also the bib pockets could be a little bigger. Other than those problems these are a fantastic product, great value and will definitely order again

Looking for lined bibs that have the big zipper to thigh, do they still have the big or wide zipper?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: YES
I’d like to get Carhartts for a carpenter who works in and outdoors all winter. He has a 25 year old pair that are quite patched but I’m not sure of the style. Do I choose zip to knee or waist and why? What are the zips for? (I’m clueless as I work wearing lululemon.) Also, if I were to buy both a pair for indoors and a pair for outdoor what styles do you recommend?
Shannon L on Oct 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: My husband works outside all winter in Maine and prefers the quilt-lined zip-to-thigh overalls over his dungarees. He likes the higher zip for an easier time getting them on and off, putting on his boots, and being able to get things out of his jeans pockets more easily (when he's taking a break.) Also, we bought them one size bigger than his jeans to easily fit over them.
Working inside, I would not get the lined ones. They run true to size, so I would buy his regular jeans size if he's not going to wear them over work pants.
Why can't I get a 28 inseam with a 32 waist?
Gerald K on Sep 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We will not make a size 32x28 in this size.

Kerry H on Jan 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: So far they hold up well for me in the wind. I live in SD where there is always wind.
Are the mossy oak or real tree bibs briar proof like the brown duct are?
A shopper on Jan 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Will shed moisture for sometime, but continued soaking will come through. Dry out very quickly though.

A shopper on Dec 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: nope i wash all the carhheart in cold cycle never an issue
Are these particular bibs r41 insulated in the chest as well as the legs ?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style is not insulated in the bib area.
What size should I get if I usually am a 34 waist, 32 long and 6’-0”?
Curren N on Dec 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We would suggest size 36x32 is you are wearing them over light layers or a size 38x32 to wear the over heavier layers.
Every time I look at reviews or different Carhartt Bibs it sure would be nice to see the inner lineing. What the insulation what tipe (RED or BLACK) when I am looking for a pair of Carhartt Bibs I am looking for the warmest one's out there in the (BLACK LINEING) not the (RED) you always show the outside and not the inside of the (BIBS) what is the best R-Rating on the warmth in the (BLACK) I do not care for the (RED LINEING) not warm for what I do outside. Thanks hope to get some good come back. I am talking about all Carhartt Bibs ?
Lance S on Dec 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration. This style will have the Red lining.
Are these available in gravel color?
Sharon S on Dec 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style is not offered in the color Gravel.
Do these shrink at all in the dryer after washing them?
A shopper on Dec 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The shrink ratio is 2-4% as long as the garment is laundered according to the care instructions, so you should not notice any shrinkage.
What style do I need for the black lining?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style has red lining. Style 104031 will have black lining.

BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.

A shopper on Oct 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: THESE HOLES ARE ACTUALLY MADE FOR A POCKET WATCH. THIS DESIGN FEATURE HEARKENS BACK TO THE EARLIEST DAYS OF CARHARTT, WHEN OUR BIB OVERALLS WERE MADE FOR RAILROAD WORKERS.

A shopper on Oct 10, 2019

A shopper on Jan 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have a pair of Cabelas’s Trans Alaskan pac boots, I can get my bibs on without taking those off, so I would say you can get the bibs on over at boot.
