How to Measure

CHEST:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Fits

Slim Fit: slimmer through hip and thigh; straight leg. Relaxed Fit: relaxed through hip and thigh; tapered leg. Loose Fit: full through hip and thigh; wide leg.

Flexible and Sturdy
Great dungaree. The flex is helpful and the pants still feel super sturdy. I wish all Carhartt pants came in shorter lengths - my flat butt and slight gut mean I wear my pants a little low.

The size is not consistant with other products I have purchased. The 36" waist is more like 38" even after washing and drying.

Horrible sizing. What's changed?
So far, I've ordered 2 pairs in different sizes. I usually wear a 36" by 34" and have multiple Carhartts in that size. I intentionally ordered a size up of 38"by 36" to wear long johns underneath. The pants arrived in 38" waste size and they're smaller than my 36" pants that have been washed multiple times. The 36" length is about 3" to 4" too long. The legs fit just right. The 2nd pair I ordered, after the poor fit of the first pair was a 40" by 34". The waste fits just right, similar to my old 36" pants. The 34" length is about 2"-3" too long and I can fit 3 of my legs into one pant leg. I don't know what happened to Carhartt, but I'm done.
