They're "ok". Not great.
I am not fond of the lowered waist but that's all Carhardt offers. I've owned these in the past; durability is not impressive. I'm searching for an alternative brand. Unfortunate, since the men's garments are so great.

Not the tough denim I expected
I'm returning these pants because they are thin denim. I expected a heavier gauge. Should have listened to the other reviews. I don't care about the label, I want the Carhartt quality. These are longer than the same size in the Crawford pant, which is a good sturdy pant.

Great purchase for people who work or ride horses
I’m 5’8” 165lbs with larger thighs. These pants fit snug at the waist to stay up and looser throughout the legs to allow for comfort and mobility. Fabric is thicker than most stretch jeans I’ve found but still very comfortable!

Bring back the slim fit!
I purchased these Blaine jeans in a size 6 thinking they were the Slim Fit version. I didn't realize there were two styles. And I see the Slim Fit nowhere on your website. This fit just doesn't flatter me at all. My mistake.

Great work Jeans and love the extra belt loop that helps prevent the gap if you have a larger backside. Thank you!

Love these jeans
I've always been disappointed with pants that suppose women carry nothing in their pockets but one tiny lipstick and are more concerned with fashion than function. That isn't the case with many of us. If I can't fit my whole hand into the front pockets, that stops the buy right there. I was delighted to see that Carhartt makes jeans that check off all the boxes for me. They fit well (I don't like pants too tight--have to move in them), are durable, have lots of deep pockets, and they look good. I'm 5'5" and bought the Original-Fit Blaine Jean, sz 10 short. I was then 123# and dropped a few pounds since, so they are now a little loose around the waist, but I don't mind that. I bought an extra pair. Also really like the Crawford pants, sz 8 reg.

They fit perfect! I have a very difficult time fitting into jeans. The thighs are usually too tight with the waist being too loose. These are great!

Have you changed the fabric content in the Blaine jeans from last year to now?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The fabric content has not changed in this style.
R these pants true to size or do they run small?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Carhartt forwarded your question to me. I'm not sure why. I wear the Tomboy Fit Benson, which unfortunately seems to have been discontinued. They fit my curvy figure great. Perhaps they run a size large because my 165 lb. behind fits into their size 8. Their other styles are too slim for my hips, which may mean they run true to size.
How do these fit in plus size in comparison to other plus size jeans from Torrid, Lane Bryant? For example, did you buy the size you usually wear or did you go up or down a size?
A shopper on May 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I ordered one size up from my normal size at Lane Bryant and it worked EXCEPT the waist is too big. However, if I had ordered my regular size they would not have fit my legs. I have large hips and thighs but my waist is not large at all so it is a challenge to find jeans that fit. I do like that these are "regular" jeans and not some sort of spandex combo like so many are these days. It got them specifically for working on my farm with my sheep. I just wish the waist wasn't so big. I wear a belt and make the best of it.
Says Imported in the ad. Where are these jeans made?
A shopper on Apr 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style is made in Vietnam.
What happened to the Jasper Jean?! I love the durability of the seams and fit. This pant does not look like it has the same quality :(
A shopper on Apr 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, the Jasper jean was discontinued. We're glad to pass your feedback along.
Do these jeans have a strong smell like most jeans do?
Beth N on Mar 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I've never thought of it as "strong" but they did have the new smell that went away with a few washes.
Do these jeans have the same roomy 6"x6" back pockets as the Original Crawford Pant (the ones with the loop that come in the Yukon gold color, etc)?
SofaBear on Feb 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure. I have not tried the Crawford pant.
what is the inseam on the plus size?
Anna M on Dec 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The inseam will be 32".
Waist, hip and rise measurement for 2L & 4L trying to compare to my current carhartts?
A shopper on Dec 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: For size 2 Tall; waist 29 1⁄2, hip 34, and front rise 9.

For size 4 Tall; waist 30 1⁄2, hip 35, and front rise 9 3⁄16.
I have a pair of Blaine flannel lined in size 12, would I order the same size in the unlined Blaine?
LISA B on Dec 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. They will be a hair looser without the lining.
What is the inseam on plus sizes?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The inseam will be 32".
Can cowboy boots fit under these jeans?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I have a pair of these jeans and LOVE them. I wore my Justin boots with them.
Is the rise different between the regular and long version? For instance, is the rise on a 10L longer than the rise on a 10R?
Sarah P on Sep 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, the rise will stay the same between the 10 Tall and the 10 Regular.
Will work boots fit under these jeans?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these are perfect for both my work boots and my casual shoes. Although I turn up the back of each leg a bit when I wear the shoes so the jeans aren't touching the ground with every step.
Can you fit a pair of fencing pliers in the back pocket?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I agree with the previous response; the back pockets are roomy like work pant-pockets, but the handles of fencing pliers are a little longer than most. I carry a very heavy set of pruners in the side pocket, and I've carried a hammer in the loop--the pockets all stood up fine to doing what they're actually supposed to do.
How quickly will the thigh area wear out? I wear a 14 and wear Jean's everyday. I have to buy Jean's every few months with the brand I wear because my thighs rub holes in the jeans.
A shopper on Sep 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have not had that problem what so ever. My oldest pair is 6 years old and still look nice enough to wear out on a informal date.
How do these jeans compare to the relaxed fit Jasper jeans? I am sick that my all time favorite jean is no longer available. I don’t like slim fit jeans.
A shopper on Apr 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I will say they're slim fit and not skinny--there's plenty of room to move, and they're not skin tight.
How are these for plus size women? Will my plumbers crack show everytime I bend over (Size 16. With 39" waist and 46" hips.)
A shopper on Jan 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I’ve never had a problem myself. But, I would HIGHLY suggest you purchase the size you think you are and one larger/smaller. It’s a huge pain, but unfortunately with Carhartt recently I’ve noticed they aren’t very consistent with the sizing throughout the whole pair of jeans(hips, waist, legs). So you could buy the 16 and they could be way larger than you anticipated or outlandishly small...both potentially resulting in unnecessary exposure of the behind. They’re well worth spending the money on a couple sizes to get the perfect fit!
