How to Measure

CHEST:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Fits

Slim Fit: slimmer through hip and thigh; straight leg. Relaxed Fit: relaxed through hip and thigh; tapered leg. Loose Fit: full through hip and thigh; wide leg.

Overall, very disappointing.
I was looking for a lighter, single layer, version of your 8 oz double front rip stop BN5461-M; which I have been very impressed by. These have no Hammer loop and no cordura reinforcement of high wear areas. And then the belt loops, I don't know what Carhartt was thinking. Different size belt loops just to support an accessory hanger? Small belt loops that will only fit a fashion belt, not a work belt? Absolutely useless. I'm sending them back.

Why?!
I was super glad to see that you finally got rid of the seem that hits at the knee. This was a terrible design. I had 3 pair blow out at the knee in a short time. After donning the newly ordered pants I was happy and content and smiled as I slid my hands into the pockets. Only to discover that you reduced the face of the front pockets?! What are you thinking? Does anyone even test these design changes? By reducing the face of the front pockets it now causes the contents of the pocket to spill out any time I sit or bend. They look good for standing around but are very limited as work pants. Look closely at the product image and you can see that the new front pockets looks "stylish" but makes these pants almost useless. Would not recommend for working folks. Would not reorder. Please do better.

Check belt loops
Making the front two belt loops smaller than all the others just to add a useless hang down thingy was not Carhartt's best idea. Please size them properly.
