You'll find Rugged Flex® in shorts, shirts, pants, jackets, and boots because you need gear that helps you move, not gear that holds you back.
These jeans were suggested as a replacement for the discontinued B18 jeans that I've been buying for the last 30 years. They are horrible and fit nothing like the B18 which was a tradition fit heavyweight 15 ounce jean. Why in the world they discontinued is beyond me. They don't even make a heavyweight jean anymore - ironic - because that's what put Carhartt on the map. I'm an older guy who doesn't want to wear skinny/flex/thin fabric jeans.

Not good
I wanted straight fit and ended up with these. Used the model code off the existing pair of straight fit and got these. I don't like them

Not as advertised
The "Slim Fit, Tapered Leg" jeans are more like "Relaxed fit, straight leg". Jeans are very baggy and have no discernable tapering in the leg.
I'm very disappointed in the fit of these jeans, it's like they were made by a different company. I've purchased the same jeans in a different finish that were as described, but these were definitely not.

Not Work Jeans, Light Weight, Carhart = Work Clothes not Fashionista
Thought I would try these, since I cannot seem to get the heavy weight B18's that I prefer. These are not work jeans for an abusive environment, they might be date night jeans....if I can get past the skin tight fit

Restricts movement
The crotch of the jeans is too low and restricts movement for a slim Jean that is supposed to sit lower on the hips (who actually wears jeans that high?). Seem like good durable quality just the fit is off. Often trying to pull up the jeans so I can move comfortably.
