I’m 5’2- 5’3 and the regular length was too long. Reordering shirt when it’s in stock. I wear a 32 inseam(regular) in jeans.

Good for working outside in winter
These are good for working outside during the colder months, though I will admit that I live in relatively warm area where it doesn't get significantly below freezing even on colder nights. They are also helpful for working in the rain, as water doesn't soak through them easily.

As for fit, I bought these in an XS short and the legs are still a bit long. For reference, I'm 5'1. They fit well in other ways, however, and the waist sits in approximately the right place when the straps are shortened as much as possible.

Perfect for Yukon winters, but size up!
I love these overalls. Comfy, warm, durable and the colour is really nice. I was afraid to order these online because I didn't see many reviews from women with my body size, so I waffled between a M Regular and L Regular, I'm really glad I bought the Medium. For reference, I am 175 pounds, and about 5'8. I planned to layer underneath these since I live in the Yukon and it can get around -45 degrees Celsius on a cold day. The M regulars are a perfect length to fit over my boots, and there is still a lot of room for layers underneath the overalls. They have a bit of a baggy look, but that's fine since they are purely functional. The buckles also work perfectly fine, and I'm not sure why they receive so many complaints. The sizing guide recommended I get an L and I'm glad I stuck to my gut and downsized, I definitely suggest that you size down if you are unsure as well!

Great and warm bibs!!
I’m a fan of these bibs, they’re perfectly insulated but roomy enough for me to wear layers too! I was worried about sizing because I’m 5’2 and 166lbs and I’m curvy, but the medium short fits perfectly! The winters here start getting bad in January so these are a great investment. Hands down was well worth the money!

Good quality but SUPER long
I am 5'2 (145 lb) and I ordered the medium short. Even with the short size they were still so long on me and unfortunately because of the zipper and snaps on the leg you cant really roll them up. They also seem to run a tad big. I was pretty disappointed because they were really nice and SO cozy.

Amazing warm tough protection against the cold and dirt
These are awesome! I'm 4'11 size 10 and bought these in a Large Short in dark brown (my favorite color). All the little pockets speak to my inner nerd and allow me to get my function on. I really thought I needed the Large Short so I can wear it over all of my layers but I ended up exchanging for Medium Short instead. I should still be able to move freely without having to pick up my outfit as I walk. I'm pretty excited about getting them in the mail and look forward to throwing these on on top of my pants to go to work. I feel well equipped in these.

Quality winter overalls
I love Carhartt for the quality and this product doesn’t disappoint! I’m comfortable knowing I can do any type of rugged work and these will hold up. They are warm and the length is perfect for me. I bought a medium short; I’m 5’-3” and weigh 150. Normally I wear a size 8 pant and medium top. These are big enough that they fit over a pair of jeans and hoodie.

I am 5ft 8in and 148 to 149 lbs. According to the chart the bust and waist is in the medium. The hips in the large. What do you recommend? I will wear warm clothes under bibs.
G A on Feb 28, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. We suggest going with the biggest size.
Are these waterproof?
A shopper on Feb 15, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This style is not waterproof.
What size would I get if I am 5'1" and a size 4 in jeans?
A shopper on Jan 15, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. You are welcome to use our Size & Fit Guide with your measurements. Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
Is the lining removable?
A shopper on Jan 1, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The lining will not be removeable.
How warm is the lining on these? Arctic, cold weather etc.
A shopper on Dec 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Depends how temp-sensitive you are; for me, these are warm enough for 20F and up on a not-too-windy (<12mph) day. Colder than that has me reaching for a non-bulky high-tech or wool base layer. When the wind really gets to whipping (say, 20-25-30mph with higher gusts), even if the ambient temp is above 20, then I appreciate the extra base layer. Love my lined Bibs!
Why don’t you make women bibs in the deep wine color? I have been looking for years to match my coat. I want a pair so bad. I would like to match!
Raye P on Dec 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
My old Carhartt bibs are size 6x30. I don't know what size that is in the new S M L XL sizing. Can someone help me out?
MADISON P on Nov 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. You are welcome to use our Size & Fit Guide with your measurements. Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
I am 5'2" about 139 lbs. I plan to wear jeans underneath. Would a Small size and Small length be the correct fit for weathered duck bibs?
Janelle R on Nov 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. You are welcome to use our Size & Fit Guide with your measurements. Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
What is the inseam on plus size bibs?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The inseam will be 30 5⁄8" for a 1X, 31" for a 2X, and 31 3⁄8" for 3X.
Do the side zippers go all the way up to
the top of the hip so a person can get into the jeans pocket underneath?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The zippers do not go all the way to the top of the hip. They stop about 8 inches from the top of my jeans, or just at the bottom of the jeans pocket where the leg of the jean starts.
Which are warmer - these or the Full Swing Cryder bibs?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I only have these and they are warm!
Are these good for playing in the snow?
A shopper on Oct 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I’d say so. I work for an excavating business and use them for work, wear them every day in the winter and absolutely love them. I’ve never used them to play in the snow but I don’t see why they wouldn’t work.
Which is warmer? This style, or the quilt lined duck bib overall?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2020
Are these warmer than the duck quilt bibs?
Cynthia H on Oct 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: These bibs are very warm, above my expectations considering the cold Canadian winters. Have not been cold yet wearing them. I work in construction so there is a lot of outside winter work and these are a must for me! Super comfortable also.
Although I cant directly answer your question because I have not owned the “duck quilt” bibs but all of my work clothes are Carhartt so I will always recommend.
I want these but know that even the short will be too long. Will these ever be offered in shorter sizes by inseam?
Sarah M on Sep 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we are not offering shorter sizes at this time.
Will y’all ever make these in pink again?
A shopper on Apr 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We apologize that the color you are interested in has been discontinued. Typically when we discontinue an item, size or color it is due to lack of sales. Although an item may sell well in one region, if it does not do well nationwide we are forced to discontinue that item.
What are the measurements for plus size?
A shopper on Apr 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Please contact us at 800-833-3118.
Those with long toros and don’t want bib to ride up, what size would you recommend in the short length— small or xs?
A shopper on Dec 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I am 5’4” and 125 lbs with a longer torso. I first ordered the small short and ended up returning it because I had to tighten the straps all the way for it to be comfortable, so there was no room to further tighten them if they stretched out. I liked the roominess in the body of the small, but ultimately went with the xs because of the straps.
What’s the difference between 2x regular and 2x plus size?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 2X will be slightly bigger in the chest waist and thigh than the XXL.
Are these women’s and is there a difference between the men’s and women’s?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style is women's. Yes, the women's will be cut differently than the men's.
Would these be good to snowboard in? For someone who still falls some and ends up sitting in the snow ?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Good to snowboard in? Wouldn't be my choice. snow pants would. Could you use for snowboarding to stay warm? Yes, but you would still be wet as there isn't anything water repelling about these. I have seen others snow tubing in them without issue, but you don't need to be agile for snow tubing. These overalls add a lot of bulk on my frame and don't make me feel light or quick! If you don't want to purchase overalls and snow pants then they could work, just be ready for the extra weight and bulk.
On the short bibs, is the body part shorter also, or just the length of the legs?
Shannon S on Mar 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The inseam will only get shorter.
