Great bibs!
Love it. Warm and thus far very durable. Looks good on. Perfect length. Would give 5 stars but the pockets. Wish they were designed better (on all Carhartt women's bib/overalls) since everything falls out from only large, zippered pocket there is unless I remember to zip it close (ugh... my poor phone & reading glasses). That's not always easy to do caring for rescued farm animals (hundreds of them)

Built for New England
I’m 5’3” tall and I weigh 145 pounds. I purchased the size Large. They are a little long while barefoot, when I put boots on they are fine. They are a tad big, but once layered with all my clothes they are comfy with room to move. We live in New Hampshire with some super cold days and nights, these are perfect!

ski/snowboard wear?
these were not made for snow wear and I knew that going in but as a curvier woman it's difficult to find snow wear that fits and gives a full range of motion. these defiantly do, they're super comfortable and I was able to stay warm along with some leggings and a tee-shirt (I was in like 40-50 degree California but still). as far as the snow, I did spend a good amount of time falling on m but in the snow but as long as I was only down for a minute or two there was no problem with a wet butt. I did sit in the snow for more than 10 minutes at the end of the day and it did take a while for the pants to dry but it never seeped inside. so I love em

Falls apart quickly
Within 1 month of wearing these 5 days a week, the fabric wore down and there were large holes all the way through on both inside ankles and knees. It was extremely disappointing. I was unable to repair it myself and Carharrt was unable to repair it in a feasible time period. I live in Maine, and with these as my only means of warmth while working outside, there was no way I could part with them for a few weeks to be repaired in the winter. Even after explaining my situation, Carhartt could offer no other solutions other then an extremely small discount for further purchases. I had worked really hard to save up just enough for a single pair of overalls, there was no way I could afford another pair with just 10% off. I also found that when I’m shoveling the shoulder straps tend to slide off and down my arm. I cross the straps and it helps a little bit, but they still slide off.

First pair, no complaints!!
I finally bit the bullet and bought a pair of these bibs. They are perfect being quilt lined so they are warm but not too hot. Also I can add more layers underneath if I need to be warmer. They are great to throw over my pants out in the snow, dirt, or anywhere.

So Happy I have these!!
This is my first coverall and I should not have waited this long to get one. Our temperatures got down to 5-10 below two weeks ago and I was tosty warm. Wore insulated socks, muck boots, jeans and my coveralls...and yes a top and jacket. I was cozy warm for the hour I had to be outside in the weather. Recently I've received several compliments on the look since I haven't had to wear a coat due to the warming temps. They wash great and didn't shrink. Plenty of pockets and loops for tools, cell phone, keys, dog treats, etc. Super Happy!!!!

Is the lining easy to remove? I don't want insulated overalls but i want 100% cotton (no spandex) and for it to be as close to the men's cut as possible so these appear to be the best option in the women's sizes.
Toby P on Apr 7, 2021
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry, the lining is not removeable.
You're sold out of the short legs (I'm 5'2") so I was wondering if I get a tall leg, will the knees be in the wrong place if I were to get them and hem them?
Toby P on Apr 7, 2021
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry, yes the knees will be in the wrong place.
Are these jean material?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This style will be a 12-ounce, 100% cotton ringspun duck fabric.
I'm wondering how these bibs differ from the men's version? For instance, is waist smaller, pant leg larger, are they more boxy? Just wondering if I could get the men's instead or if they would just swallow me up.
MSmith on Dec 30, 2020
Are coverall true to size or do I need to go up a size ?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I found them to be true to size. I’m 5’4” and 115 lbs. ordered the XS short and they fit great.
Are these good for playing in the snow? Are they water-resistant at all?
A shopper on Oct 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I use mine to plow out MN snow. You can also play in them. They’re really warm. They do get wet, but I’ve never felt it penetrate through to my skin or long underwear. If you’re going skiing or snowboarding, I’d buy regular snow/ski bibs. Those are a little lighter and more flexible. I think these would be too warm for super rigorous winter activity. These are very well made bibs!
Hi - can you please make these bibs in other colors - green? purple? pink? blue? Thank you!
A shopper on Oct 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
What is the inseam on the Small Tall and/or Medium Tall?
Lauren on Sep 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The inseam for short is 29" regular is 31" and tall is 33".
Are these lighter in weight than the duck wildwood bibs or are they the same?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these will be lighter because of the 3M Thinsulate.
Is this fit or the weathered duck a bulkier fit?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Quilt lined is definitely more stylish. However, check the features carefully. The Quilt lined does not have ankle to hip zippers making it impossible to get the overalls over the boots.
Do any of these bibs have a butt flap? The warm benefits of bibs aren't super useful when you have to take off all of your clothes just to pee outside. A butt flap would be really really cool.
A shopper on May 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style will not have a drop seat option. Our style 102740 will.
What color is the quilt lining on the brown bibs?
A shopper on Feb 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: In the "Weathered Duck Wildwood Bib Overalls," the insulated lining is black; not sure what it is in this version but maybe the same?
What would you say is the temperature rating on these?
I'm doing shipyard welding in Alaska so temperatures down to single digits, frequently high winds, and often wet. I'm wondering if these will suffice or if I should just go with the mens...?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments because everyone has a different threshold for what they consider to be warm.
Are these waterproof?
Greer H on Jan 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style is not considered waterproof.
Will they shrink at all? I read a review about the top being too loose and totally agree. I am not small up top, but even with straps cinched all the way it is still way too loose. I will have to have them taken in on the sides and have the straps shortened in order for them to fit properly. Otherwise I might as well still be wearing a mens size.
MJ
Marnie H on Dec 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: As long as they are laundered according to the care directions you should not notice any shrinkage.
Would this be good for welding during the winter months?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Carhartt does not make any garments that are specifically designed to be worn while welding, or performing similar jobs that involve exposure to sparks and flames. Carhartt Flame-Resistant Clothing will protect better than 100% cotton or synthetic garments, because the FR fabric is self-extinguishing. However, flame-resistant clothing is susceptible to holes and fabric burns created by sparks and metal debris generated by activities such as welding.
does this style have a skinnier leg than the weathered duck wildwood bibs?
A shopper on Dec 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: yes they do make you look thinner than others i have seen
Which are the warmest option: these or the wildwood duck overalls?
Amber I on Dec 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style will have a warmer lining.
How loose is the top part. Im not chest heavy so i dont want anything thats going to be too loose.?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello, I'm not large chested and don't find them to be loose. I"m a B, and they are a bit loose if I'm only in a t-shirt but just right with a zip up sweater. I can't imagine you would want to wear these outside of snow and mud days because they are lined and warm.
What is the reinforced hole at the top of the bib for?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is for old school pocket watches. You put your clip/fab through the hole then the pocket watch would go in the pocket under it. Now days you can use it for many things, such a flash light or any thing else with a small clip to make it easily accessible.
Do these have knee pad pockets like Carhartt's mens bibs do?
A shopper on Nov 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this style offers the double-layer knees with openings for adding knee pads.
Waterproof?
Anna A on Nov 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style will not be waterproof.
