Fantastic
Great coat. I had a problem with my delivery and called the 800 number and was helped immediately. I did not rate it for durability because I just got it. That's a question for two years from now. But my past coats have worn beautifully.

Perfect for a Spring Day up On the Slope
Had to travel to leases up on the North Slope in early May. Teperatures were between -20F and 25F. The jacket provided excellent warmth and comfort at the same time being easy to work while wearing it.

Can you make a jacket exactly like this whit hood in the full swing I prefer hoods attached?
David M on Mar 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We have forwarded this to product design as a suggestion.
Is this the flame resistant equivalent to the non-FR J140 Carhartt jacket?
A shopper on Dec 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is similar, yes.
Is this equivalent in warmth to the j133 arctic jacket?
DALE D on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Dale,
I just purchased this FR coat with the matching bibs and I must say that it is very warm & very comfortable!
I will say sizes in FR run slightly larger as we are usually in layers so I did get a Large coat instead of my normal XL otherwise bins are pretty true to size as well as slightly large so I got same pant size as I normally would
Is this coat as warm as the j133? I need something to wear for a trip into the mountains over Christmas break.
A shopper on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It should be. Maybe a layer or 2 underneath an you’ll be fine.
How does it compare to a Carhartt J140 as far as being warm?
A shopper on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I can't compare it to a previous Carhartt jacket. I can tell you that after a couple of bitter cold nights this jacket is one of the best coats i have ever owned. I have stood in below zero degrees and it did such a good job retaining heat that my whole body felt warm. This was a good buy and I have no regrets.
Hello is the hood large enough to accommodate a hard hat?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As long as it is not a full brim. Not the most comfortable, but it is WAY better than the cold. I have a Fiber Metal Roughneck (ball cap) style and I do ok.
101621 is this a very hot coat?
I need a coat/jacket that is warm, but not too hot in around the 30°- 40°, of course FRC.
A shopper on Jan 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I do not feel that this is a hot coat. I begin my mornings a working in the coat and usually around 11, I take it off. It's not heavy and doesn't get in my way as a lineman. So far, I am very pleased.
How do the sizes run for men? I wear a 2X in a button up shirt, would a 2X be the size to order for this coat?
Michael L on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our jackets are true to size, we would recommend the same size as your shirt. You are welcome to contact us with your chest and waist measurements for further assistance. You can reach us by phone at 800-833-3118 Monday-Friday from 8am-9pm EST and Saturdays 9am-5pm EST.
IS THIS COAT VERY WARM? LOOKING FOR VERY WARM WITH HOOD PLEASE IN LARGE TALL
DONNITA P on Nov 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is. Have not been out in 20 degrees but the weight of the jacket would tell me that it would work fine.
Does this jacket come rain proof?
A shopper on Nov 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This style is not waterproof or water repellent. You may like our Style 102182. The link for this item is below:

Is this products outer shell made of nomex?
A shopper on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, the outer shell is made of a 13 ounce FR cotton duck.
Is it true only the blue color is made in the USA, other colors are imported and of lesser quality?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is an imported garment. All of our garments are of equal quality, regardless of country of manufacture.
What is the source of this product?
Anna C Staff on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This product is imported.
