Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Too Large

The hat was too large. I bought for my husband and had it sent to the addresses you have listed, where we were having Christmas. We are back in Santa Barbara and have decided to try to figure out a way to make it work.

as others have said the sizing is odd-crown not deep enough but the circumference too big. Measurement-wise the person it was bought for should have been a large but I bought a medium based on the reviews, it was still too big. It is a good quality product; we kept it, just not for the intended person. Don't know if the alternate likes it or not.

HUGE

The hat is huge! I got the smallest size and it's gigantic. Un-wearable. Good concept, just way too big. Waste of money because can't wear it.
