It takes plenty of hard work, commitment, and passion to build a name for yourself in the crowded California wine country. Still, that's exactly what our cousin Mike, his wife Brooke, and their son Chase, have done. Farming grapes and growing their wine business on the family's 22-acre vineyard in Los Olivos, California, since crafting the first barrels of Merlot and Syrah back in the fall of 1998. It's not easy. And it's definitely not for everyone. But for these Carhartts, making world-class wine is their life's work.
