The Essential Canvas Pant

I like the pants, but prefer the ones I bought a few years back. This one is a bit baggy and too long, even though I bought a short pair. Bring back a more form fitting canvas!

For any woman who has been a loyal carhartt customer for years, the new fit is incredibly disappointing. These no longer fit like work pants and I cannot comfortably wear them at work anymore. Carhartt seems to have abandoned their original customer base in favor of becoming a "fashion" brand. The dark brown original fits were a STANDARD in the outdoor industry for years, bring them back!

I am so disappointed! I have been wearing these pants for years!! I work in the construction field. I ordered a pair last year and they were tight on the ankle and I just figured they were messed up sometimes that happens, no big deal. They aren't my favorite pair because it's hard to get them over my boots. Well this year I ordered 4 more pairs. Was so excited to wear them today and every single pair is tight on the ankle. Will have to look for a new brand I'm so bummed!!! What's a work pant if it doesn't fit over your work boot???? I attached a picture of one it's about 1 1/2" more narrow now.

I'd like to put in a request for *DARK BROWN* as a color option in the canvas rugged flex work pant! I've bought many pairs of these Carhartts over the years. As a landscaper, I appreciate the flexibility, tool pockets, and relative durability (I say relative, because they do wear out after a while, but I haven't found anything better). It's time for me to buy new ones, and I'm getting bored of the current color options. I'd love a dark brown!

The personalized sizing guide recommended a 10 regular for me, which is about the size I normally go for but I ended up ordering a 10 short since I'm quite short. The pants barely fit over my hips, were too tight around my thighs, and were still too long for me. I guess this is a relaxed fit if you're skinny but if you have even the slightest of curves the pants will be too tight because the material only stretches a tiny bit.
