Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Quality coat!
Bought the eggplant color. Solid quality, love the hood and closed sleeves to keep the wind out. I'm 5'5" and 150, and got the medium. It fits exactly, so no putting a sweater on underneath this. The good news is you don't really need one because of how warm it is! I've been out in 35 degree weather with just a flannel and was perfectly comfortable. If you do want to layer heavier, maybe size up one size - it's definitely not loose fit. Overall, great for working outside, excellent purchase!

Great coat..watch the color selection
This coat is so warm and cozy and the price is unbeatable!! My only complaint is that I ordered the "sage" color and it is a military green. The darker green is ideal for hunting or unloading firewood but not great for work or social events. I was wanting a more feminine, softer color green.

Great Jacket!
Great cold weather jacket! I am 5'4 and 140lbs and have an athletic build. I was in between a M and L because I still wanted to layer underneath. I went with the M and I'm glad I did! I still have plenty of room to have a sweatshirt underneath, but not look like I'm swallowed alive by my jacket.
