How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Hip/Seat:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Inseam:

Measure from your crotch down to the desired length on body. You may also measure pants that you currently own and like. Lay the garment flat and smooth out. Measure on the front from the crotch point along the seam to the hem for the inseam length.

Finally, a Carhartt pant that doesn't have leg opening you can drive a truck through.

Fantastic. I'm 6'4" and have a runner's build. Not everyone that wears Carhartt's needs them to fit over boots so I appreciate the slimmer fit. I wish they came in a couple more colors. One reviewer mentioned these feel like hiking pants and I disagree - they are 98% cotton and cotton is not a fabric used in technical hiking pants. They are a lighter canvas but still work great for work or casual. To get this fit you generally need to spend a lot more. The articulated knees are great too.
