Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Hips:

Measure the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8” below the natural waist.

First time buying, but not the last!
Fit was flattering and allowed me to move comfortably. Loved the pockets and the price was appropriate.

Useless
Was super excited to get a new pair for the cooler season, even got them a size up so I can put my layers on under them. Got them on a Sunday and by Wednesday the threads were pulling out of them. Normally I buy men's cause they'll last longer cause for some reason there's a massive quality difference between the two sections, but I wanted something that fit me a little better. But the woman's sections is more fashion then it is function and I work to hard for fashion. I do road construction and clean up and we're entering the down season, so if this is how they handle 3 days of work in the DOWN SEASON, I can't imagine how they'd last any other time of year

Not actually made for work
These are so poorly made, I work a very physically demanding job in HVAC install and within a week the strap buckle had broken and the leg had torn. Terrible quality if you are actually using them for work. I won't be purchasing anymore Carhartts.
