Amazing!! I wear it to school and it’s super cute and warm! I also wore it up to the snow with a cute carhartt hoodie underneath and I was so cozy! I always think it’s worth the extra dollar to get a good jacket that will keep me warm and last forever! I go to school in a freezing part of the state and I couldn’t have got a better jacket to keep me warm!
I ordered a size small (:

I love this jacket! It’s heavy but very comfortable and I don’t feel bulky wearing it. I’m 5’ 2” 155lbs and a medium fits me even with layers on.

I work on the water front. ALWAYS RAINING, WINDY OR MYSELF ALWAYS FREEZING! BEST JACKET I HAVE EVER BOUGHT FOR 150$ I DO NOT FEEL THE WEATHER THREW MY JACKET AS MOST JACKETS YOU DO WHEN IT WINTER! I wear a hoodie with my jacket, i still have room to move my arms along with not getting too hot.

Does the hood detach??
A shopper on Oct 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The hood is attached in this style.
Is this jacket too warm for mild southern winters? I'm in central Arkansas and am concerned it might too warm to wear on a regular basis
Brandi on Oct 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I live in northeast Nebraska and have never been to Arkansas in the winter, but this jacket is the best one I have ever had. In the fall and early spring I wear it and on cold winter days I layer with a sweater or sweatshirt. It is very comfortable for all sorts of activities. I think Carhartt has a similar jacket (Full Swing) that isn't as heavy.

BEST ANSWER: I bought the full swing caldwell jacket last year. It has been the warmest coat I have ever owned. I generally don't even wear it until it is below 40 degrees and then I stay warm until it is in the single digits. I rarely needed a hoodie underneath.
Does the hood come off?
A shopper on Oct 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The hood is not detachable.
I live in southwestern Ontario, so it can get to about -30 degrees celsius. Is this coat going to keep me warm and dry if I'm on a long hike or skating/playing hockey, etc?
Hannah K on Oct 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I live in MN and use this jacket in the early winter, but it doesn't keep me warm enough in the later colder months, even with layers!! once it reaches about 0 degrees Fahrenheit, the cold seeps in
Hood?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This will have an attached hood.
How cold is this coat rated for?
A shopper on Aug 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments because everyone has a different threshold for what they consider to be warm.
I ordered a sweater in a size small, and the arm length was perfect but the rest was a bit baggy, should I size down for this jacket?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would order a size smaller. As my jacket seems to have some wiggle room... also take into consideration of when you will be wearing the jacket. For doing yard work etc the extra room has been nice for movement. But if you are just wearing around in cold weather a smaller size might be ideal. Hope thats helpful
Does this coat come in women’s tall? (With longer arm length?)
A shopper on Feb 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry, we will not offer a tall in women sizes.
Is this material noisy when you move your arms?
Tmgraham on Jan 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The material is the same as the men’s carhartt jackets. There’s minimal noise when moving. Definitely not noisy like your typical winter jacket.
Are these made in china?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style will be made in Vietnam and China.
How rain resistant is this coat? The weather on the Oregon coast is wet, but I also want to be warm.
A shopper on Dec 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will be perfect for you! I live in Vancouver, Canada and use it in the wind, rain, and minimal amounts of snow. Rain rolls right off; I've never felt the jacket was wet after being in the rain. It's also surprisingly warm. I have a very difficult time finding jackets that really insulate (I'm built small and don't produce a lot of heat myself). I found that with a regular t-shirt and this jacket, I am comfortable in temperatures around the freezing mark. I bought one size larger than I thought I would need so that I can always layer a sweater underneath for days below freezing temperatures. I highly recommend it for it's warmth and rain-resistant properties.
Is this warmer than the caldwell?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Cryder Jacket will have a warmer lining than the Caldwell.
Do you offer tall in any women’s coats?
A shopper on Dec 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We will not offer tall sizes at this time.
Does it have zipper pockets?
Chelsie C on Nov 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It has five pockets. Two outer at the hips, one outer left breast pocket, and one deep inside left. These four zip. And then a generous sized fifth pocket inside with a Velcro tab. I love this jacket.
Hi. I am a veterinarian and work outdoors part of the time. I am looking for a warm jacket that is not bulky and allows me freedom of movement. Ideally rain resistant or rain proof. Sometimes, on a farm, I have to walk in the woods, such as when on a deer farm, and there may be briars. In the past, I have had a mens' Carhartt and it is "old as dirt" so I wanted a new coat and am thrilled there are women's versions. I am interested in trying a Full Swing Jacket but unsure which version would be best. I want a NON bulky coat because sometimes I have to wear coveralls or tyveks over them. . I think this one but am a tad concerned if it would be durable if I had to be in the woods. Recommendations and suggestions?
Amy N on Nov 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This jacket is great by its self for most of the year, I currently think its warm enough with a nice sweater under it. But when it gets below 20 I need a base layer a mid layer and then the jacket minimum. I use a little different layers when its below 30. That's why I picked it, because I knew I could easily layer with it all year long. For people who don't have the right base and mid layers it, or who don't like layering I would not recommend this jacket. But I love the jacket.
Does this jacket have those stretchy cuffs that keep the cold out as seen on the women’s utility jacket (#103909)?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style will have internal rib knit storm cuffs.
True fit is telling me to order a small, But it is falling on the snugger end. I generally wear a small in most things but I ordered a vest last year from carhartt in small and it is pretty darn snug. I am 5'2" 135lbs 32dd bust. Would you recommend getting the small or sizing up to the medium? Or should I go with the mens small? So many choices. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
Samantha on Oct 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Medium if it’s the jacket with the brown option and Sherpa. Small if it’s the jacket with the canvas zip pockets. I have both. I’m 5’4” 130 lbs and the one in brown with the sherpa is slightly smaller. Hope this helps. The question with the picture doesn’t appear when I write the answer so I’m not sure what coat you’re asking about. I have both the green full swing, which feels larger in size small and I’m 36 A. And the brown with Sherpa type stuff in it and it is more snug.
