Love it! Bought a second one lol
Love this jacket! Super warm...I can tell it's going to last forever. Made very well. Love the ladies fit...so much better then trying to wear small men's sizes. Actually bought a medium because the small was out of stock forever and now I have ordered it in a small as well for when I'm not layering as much. Great for the farm/cutting wood and wore it snowmobiling the other day and it was perfectly warm with layers. Not bulky at all.

Great jacket
Bought this jacket for my wife at Xmas for her outdoor work. She loves it! It's a replacement for an older one and she thinks the upgrade is solid. Well made and comfy.

Get this coat!
This jacket is great. Keeps you extremely warm and it’s still stylish.
I’m glad they contoured the shape so it’s flattering and not boxy.

The zipper is not easily moved to close the jacket during bad weather. It’s slight inconvenience. Otherwise I love the look, fit, & functionality.

Perfect fit , I didn’t think there was a big difference between the women’s cut I’ve always bought the men’s cut . But there is . It fits my curves better.

Are there any plans to produce this jacket in tall sizes? I'm tired of having to buy mens jackets because the women's sleeves are always too short.
A shopper on Oct 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
I am on the fence about the 104292 SHERPA & 104053 Active Jac, I am 5'2 132, measurements are 36 bust/33 waist/38 hip. I'm torn between the 2 jackets and whether to get XS or Small. Thank you, curious about the 2 jackets (which is warmer) and which fit would be better.? Thank you

Women's Washed Duck Sherpa Lined Jacket
Women's Washed Duck Sherpa Lined Jacket
BEST ANSWER: I bought the Active Jac last year as a barn coat and I absolutely love it. For me, the sherpa lining would be a negative because it would trap hay bits and whenever I feed I usually get hay somewhere. I'm on the plus end of the size chart and bought a 3X just so I knew it would be roomy enough to layer a hoodie underneath. It's a bit big, but I love the way it covers my butt.
WOULD THE #104292 OR THE #104053 BE WARMER? WHAT ONE WOULD BE BETTER FOR PHYSICAL WORK?

Women's Washed Duck Sherpa Lined Jacket
BEST ANSWER: The insulated jacket is much warmer than the Sherpa lined. When it comes to hard work, the Sherpa lining will work against you by tugging and pulling on your clothing. Also hay chaff sticks to the Sherpa lining. I own both jackets.
How easy is it to move in it? I had one before but it was in men’s and nearly impossible to move In.
A shopper on Oct 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Straight out of the wrapping I did not find the fabric to be stiff! So easy to wear and move in brand new and it’s only going to get cozier with time!
Would the #104053 or the #104292 be warmer? What one would be better for physical work?

Women's Washed Duck Sherpa Lined Jacket
BEST ANSWER: In my opinion, 104292 would be warmer, especially for outside physical work. It has sherpa lining, which the other one does not. I live in a state where the winters are moderate, and the 104053 is perfect for me.
For some that is 5ft 2in and is 240 lbs what size do u get?

Is the hood removable?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The hood is not removable.
Does the deep wine color lean more towards brown or purple? I like the idea of purple but in a lot of the photos it looks brown.
Shea A on Sep 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello! I purchased the Wine one for my daughter for Christmas and it is towards the purple side not brown but dark purple.
Is the waist band as large as their hoodie waist bands are ?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Id say yes
what is the difference between this jacket and the Women's Sandstone Quilted-Flannel Active Jac WJ130? and is the J130 discontinued??
Jean L on Sep 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style is the replacement for the WJ130. The only difference is that we updated the fabric. The replacement style for the J130 is 104050.
Is the redwood color nice?
A shopper on Sep 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Love the redwood color! Some lighting in pictures it looks burn orange but in person you can see the red
Is it good for the winter ?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I live in the mountains of Idaho, where winters are quite cold, and wear this all the time. That said however, I layer like crazy under it, and if I were going out to do something less active, I would opt for down. This jacket is not SUPER insulated, but it is roomy enough to allow for good layering underneath, and if you need a good sturdy work-layer as the outer, this is it. Love the hood too - again, roomy enough to also wear a wool hat, neck-warmer, whatever, underneath it and still have the hood fit and not feel like the Michelin man. I'd say it's a good winter jacket as long as you're into layering. Ot live somewhere with milder winters.
Is this jacket warmer then the quilted jacket?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I think it is warmer than a quilted lined coat.
Is this jacket warmer than the womens sherpa lined style WJ141 jacket?
A shopper on Jun 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I’m not sure because we don’t have a Sherpa lined jacket to compare it to. Sorry
Could you let me know the back length in a medium and a large?
Kristie P on May 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The center back length for a medium is 25 3⁄8" and a large is 25 7⁄8".
My measurements are exactly for the XS, 33 27 36. However will there be room to layer at all? Or should I size up? Since this style 104053 is slightly different than the J130 I am not sure which to go with. I do have broad shoulders and long arms so I want room to move, just not to swim in it. I am 5'5", 120.
katelin w on Apr 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The X-Small will have some room for you to layer underneath.
Is this jacket warmer with the insulated lining that the WJ130? Assuming both jackets are the same cut/style just different warmth? Thanks
A shopper on Apr 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I don’t know if it’s warmer or not, I bought this jacket for my daughter in CO. She loved it this past winter & it kept her warm in Spring Valley.
Are there any tall sizes for women that have a long torso?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We do not offer tall sizes in our outerwear. We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
Does this jacket shrink much when washed?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: As long as it is laundered according to the care instructions you should not notice any shrinkage.
Is this jacket stiff? Also the black loots like leather is that the appearance in real life?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Purchased this for my wife, and it’s not the same stiff material they used to use. It’s thick, but I wouldn’t call it stiff compared to one I own from 10 years ago. Much softer.
What is the difference between the small and medium arm length in both of these? also which would be warmer between the two?

I'm looking for a jacket with an easy and long-lived zipper. How does this jacket stack up please?
Patricia A on Dec 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I've been wearing Carhartt products since I was a kid and I've never had a zipper go out on me. My father has been wearing the same carhartt jacket since the 90s and no zipper problems. Same thing will apply to this jacket. Plain and simple carhartt is the best
