Big
These are HUGE. I ordered a size small, after measuring myself. I’m 5’2” and 130lbs, and when I got them, I could almost tie the pant legs together and fit another person in with me. It worked out well, though, as my mother in law fit into them. I ordered a new pair in Xsmall, and will update my review when they come in. But for reference, ordering a size smaller might be beneficial.

Fit good, can't wait to test function
Ordered a Medium Regular, I'm 5'4"/145/athletic, square build; the fit is spot on. The fabric is a soft cotton, not the hard duck I expected. The pockets are spacious and I'm particularly excited about the zippered kangaroo pocket!

Love these bibs and the zipper functions
I received these as a gift and at first didn't know if I would like them since they were different than the traditional ones that I had, but I LOVE them. They are super comfortable and not stiff at all. The way they are designed I am able to go to the bathroom without fully undressing, which is awesome in super cold weather in an outhouse or similar. I am 5'6'', 130lbs and have a 2Tall. I like the little extra length when wearing boots etc so they don't ride up when you sit or bend over.

I definitely recommend this product! Ive had insulated carhart bibs before but the difference between those and this pair is amazing. These actually fit correctly, they are very warm. I am able to move freely in them.

Best choice
I ordered the Cryder bibs over the classic because they were advertised as being more comfortable and having more freedom to move. I was not disappointed. Driving sleighs outside all winter was made beyond comfortable due to these bibs, and on days it was -10 or -15 I could get away with just base layer or warm leggings underneath, I did not need to have multiple layers. I prefer the way the straps cross in the back, it helps hold the weight of the pant (in my opinion).

Easy to climb in and out of the sleighs without ripping them in the crotch (happens with almost every other snow pant or bib I've owned). They held up amazing and will live for seasons to come.

I am 5'10" and ordered the tall in a medium.

Great Lined Bibs!
I am loving these bibs! We are in the middle of calving in Montana and they have been great on the cold days. The bibs are extremely comfortable and easy to move in. Unlike most lined bibs, you don’t feel bulky and weighed down. The drop seat is a plus, on a large ranch you can’t always run to the house to potty. It’s great that you don’t need to take half your clothes off to go!

Great
The only reason I’m rating it four stars instead of 5 is because the back sticks out extremely far, but everywhere else fits perfectly.
For reference I’m 5’7 and 160 pounds and ordered a long large.

Will these coveralls be too warm for the summer/early fall months? I would only be wearing them on rainy, cold days. I’m doing a forestry training program and need the water resistance, but don’t want to be too warm. Thanks.
A shopper on May 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Depending on what the weather is like where you are. I wore them during the fall last year (If they got too warm I would just undo the side zip and let some air flow in) and they worked well for me. Especially love the butt flap. So much easier than having to take off all your layers! Kept me dry as can be as well!
Are these made in the USA?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style will be made in Cambodia.
Would these be too warm for Late Spring/ early fall ATVing? Looking for something rugged and water resistant but fear the insulation may be just too much
Keith L on Mar 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I think it would be great for Fall/Spring. I have worn them for those occasions and love them. They aren't super thick, but still warm enough for me to wear in winter in Minnesota.
Are these pants good for skiing?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I would say no but I haven't skied in years. Love them for outside farm work!
Are these bibs warm? I live in MN and the winters are unpredictable and cold.. I would like them to be warm enough for outside activities.
A shopper on Nov 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I love these bibs. I'm also from a state that gets A LOT of unpredictable snow (Syracuse,NY). I wear these bibs snowmobiling and they keep me soooo warm. I also love the side zippers so they are easy to have to 'go' on the side of the trails when I'm miles away from a pit stop. I definitely reccomend these!
The true fit sizer is telling me to order a small, I am 5'2" 135lbs and 32dd and wear a 27/28 in jeans. I have a 28inch inseam but a longer torso. I have a pair of Berne's in a small and they are too short in the torso, Will these fit in a small or should I go to medium?
Samantha on Oct 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Samantha,

I'm 5'4" and about 143Ibs. I ordered a small short leg pair of these overalls based on the true fit sizer. Unfortunately they were very baggy on me and I ended up returning them. They were the right length but not at all fitted and I just felt there was way too much extra material, very bulky and unflattering. I think going to a medium may be far too big for you in some areas.

Hope you find what you're after.
Are they insulated?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these are insulated.
What product is recommended to refresh the water repellency of the Cryder bib overall?
Dawn S on Sep 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We would suggest using something like Sotchgaurd or Nikwax, as long as it is safe for the material of the garment.
Are these pants good for climbing and playing in snow? Will they keep you dry and warm?
A shopper on Jan 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Short answer: yes. I was warm and dry in Iceland and Wisconsin winters. The 2 options for ankle snap closer ensure easy don and doff as well as close fit around boots. I will offer this: I always wear wool knee highs and often wool legwarmers to fit over base layer and boot tops - no snow or ice has gotten in, ever, regaardless of work, play, out on lake in drifts, chasing the dogs, etc!
I am looking for the warmest option for below zero hunting. Would these be warm enough or are the weathered duck wildwood bib overalls be warmer?
A shopper on Jan 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I haven’t tried the wildwood bib overalls but these overalls have worked perfectly in below zero temps wearing just jeans or leggings underneath and I do not feel cold while doing chores. They also are the best fitting, easy to move in coveralls I’ve ever had.
Please please make TALLER pants!!! 36? 33 not nearly long enough. I take a size 10 pant but 34 inseam...
Jinka1950 on Dec 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We're happy to pass along your feedback!
How are these for plus size women? I can usually wear a 2x... any opinions?
Becca B on Dec 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't remember exactly what size I bought but mine fit pretty well. They were a slight bit snug the first few times I put them on around the hips. The zipper was also a little snug around my hip and thigh area but nothing some work on the zipper couldn't fix. Once they we're on and zipped though they fit well and not too tight, just a bit bulky feeling but I was wearing fleece leggings underneath. When i first bought them I was 170lbs, and I'm 5'2". I usually wear a medium to a large. Ive found they fit better now after ive switched back to a more physical job. The length is just perfect in boots.
Will Carhartt ever make even longer inseams? Tall women need good workwear, too. 36" inseam minimum, even a 37" for us giants!

I ordered an xl by the size chart and its HUGE!!! What is the DIFFERENCE in large and xl? Or should I go a medium?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry to hear the XL was much too large. There will be several differences, but below are some examples of how the Large compares to the XL: the straps will be 1/2" shorter, the waist will be 4" smaller, the front rise will be about an inch shorter, the leg opening will be about 3/4" smaller, and the thigh area will be about 2" smaller.
Are there plans to add a lighter colour option (eg. brown)? Black is not ideal for blackfly season when working in the bush in Northern Ontario.
A shopper on Apr 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not in the near future, but we would be glad to share your interest with Product Design as a suggestion.
My regular 100% cotton bibs won't let briars through them. Will this material also do that or should I stick with 100% cotton for briars?
Amanda B on Feb 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If your talking about plant thorns no I don't think they will get through this either. These are very lightweight/comfortable compared to the normal ones. If your still not sure they make a men's coat out of this same material that local stores should carry, that way you can feel the material before you buy.
Can you be active in these and not get hot? Shoveling snow or walking a lot? I work for the railroad and I need something water resistant and warm that won’t get sweaty. And is the lining soft or the black fabric you use for sleeves of your jackets? Thank you
A shopper on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I work in the film industry in Atlanta, GA. If our show has exterior work to shoot...well then, we have to be prepared for any kind of weather. Winters are cold and damp, that means colder then usual. I have two pairs of your carhartt women's bibs and they thing that is a struggle, is having to peal off layers of clothes to use the restroom. That is one of the reasons why I purchased these bibs.
The new design is awesome, it can be a little struggle unzipping them and zipping back up, but once you got the design figured out, its such a time saver and relief not to have to peel off layers.
They definitely keep me warm when its the 20's/30's and if I'm running around, I almost get too hot but it's worth it!!! I like that the material is cozy soft, which means there is no break in process with the customary carthartt material. I'm a 6/8 womens size and once you wash them, they can shrink little and run a little small when you have a thin under layer. I generally wear thick leggings and 3 top layers . I can really move in these versus the Arctic version, I have.
For the new customer, it takes a bit of figuring out the design with the cross back, it was a bit frustrating and if there is a way to come up with a elastic material cross back, that would make it easier when putting on and when using the restroom for more mobility!!!
Otherwise, a brilliant design for women. A lot of the ladies on set have come up to ask me about these bibs cause they like the way they look on me and when I tell them about the nature calling design, they want to buy immediately!
I'm still a chick and like looking good at work.
Are these available in the Grey? I have the Grey full swing jacket and would like the matching Bibs
michelle d on Jan 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not offer this style in a gray color at this time. We have forwarded this to our product team as a suggestion.
do you think these would these make good snow boarding pants?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t snowboard but I do know the pair of overalls I have have a gap on that backside of the waist area that snow could get down into, my complaint with them is the design of the over the shoulder straps, not a problem if you wear a jacket over them but highly unattractive when just wearing a hoodie under the overalls , they look like suspenders old men wear...however the company isn’t kidding when they advertise they are handy for taking a whizz without having to take off a bunch of layers, so I guess that is the purpose of the open back shoulder strap design!
When will you be restocked in the short sizings?
Christine L on Dec 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We expect more stock in June.
Can you ride and work horses with them on?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes! I've ground mounted a variety of sized horses and rode a LOT in these bibs. You might have to hike them up a bit to get the flexibility to ground mount in the winter, esp. if in deep snow. I've also done ground/round penning in these and have had great range of motion and ability to move.
