Great work pants
Great work pants. Comfortable and durable. Sizing is alittle off I typically wear a 4 but had to return and get a 6 as the 4 was pretty snug.

The price was great, and the material is quality that is perfect for my tough work. However, they are much looser/baggier than I expected.. Would go with the slim fit if I had to pick again

Pleased overall
I am very pleased with these. I wore classic Carhartt men's canvas duck and painter pants for decades, until some worn completely through beyond patching and others were no longer sized correctly. I loved those so much that I was reluctant to try these, but I'm now sold. They fit well and are extremely comfortable, and I can move in them.

My only gripe, and it's a gripe for many of the newer models, is that I much preferred the utility (now mostly phone) pockets to be sewn over the seam rather than behind it. I am price sensitive, and I can appreciate that it's probably cheaper to make them this way, but it hate sitting on my phone or anything else (like hand sanitizer or a small spray bottle of isopropyl alcohol or a wrench) in my utility pockets. It's more comfortable and, importantly, more accessible to have it just a bit farther forward. That little detail is important enough to knock one star off a product with which I am otherwise thrilled.

The waist was too small, but the rest of the pants were a little too loose.

Runs small
In both the 12 & 14 the waist was too small. These run smaller than true size.

Very good farm work pants but size varies by color
I have had 2 pairs of Crawford original fit, in grey, for about 6 months. I do farm work. I am 5'2", 125 lb., and have what you might call a curvy shape with athletic legs. I ordered a 6 short and they fit perfectly. I do wear a belt with them. I love the fabric even though I have never been a person to be inclined toward any "stretch" fibers. The main pockets are cut on an angle which makes getting my hands into and out of them a breeze, unlike most jeans. The utility pockets come in very handy. After 6 months of daily wear I give a positive review to their durability but will follow up later. My only complaint: I thought it would be nice to also have a pair in black, so I ordered another size 6 short. Highly disappointing. The thighs were very tight. How can just a change of color change the fit so much? Come on Carhartt. You know you can do better.

Fits weird, both too big and too small
After reading all the "these fit great!" reviews, I have concluded that I am actually an alien. For reference, I'm 5'2" 120lbs. I can't wrap my mind around the physics of how badly these fit, so I'll just list the symptoms:
- thighs are too tight. Like, inappropriate for work tight. Gives me a wedgie, can't use the pockets tight. "Why not get a bigger size?" you might ask. Well, that's because
- the waist is enormous! But, and this is the part I don't understand, it's only huge in the back. Up front it somehow finds what little fat I have and squishes it up to give me a gut, then a stomache by pressing on that newly formed gut, while still leaving like a 4" gap in the back! Plumber's butt AND a stomache. Fun!
- the belt loops are directly over my hipbones, so wearing a belt restricts movement and doesn't do anything for the back gap
- can't hike them up to my natural waistline, because the crotch is too short
- while I appreciate the short leg length option, the legs are the exact length to slide into the heel of my shoe constantly
- and finally, the material collects fuzz very easily.

2 stars because I truly do appreciate the short length option, despite these not working with my shoe. Carhartt stuff either fits amazingly well (and they discontinue that style immediately) or not at all. This happens to be the latter

What's the inseam on plus size?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The inseam is 32".
I am usually a size 1 @ 105lbs about 5’ 1” will the size 2 work? If not anyone recommend a type of pants to get? Thanks
A shopper on Aug 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I got a pair true to my size. I found them to be quite roomy. Carhartts do seem to shrink continuously over time, but you may find them to be too large. I like mine, but, they are a bit baggy.
I suggest you give them a try anyway!
How deep are the front pockets on size 6 short?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The front pocket bag length is 9 3/4 inches for size 6.
will these pants deter briars?
Ashton B on Jul 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This depends on what level of deferment you need. In my experience, these pants are a little bit thin for briars. They did not tear from a few days work removing blackberries and hawthorn, but did become pock marked with threads. My legs were lightly scratched as well. (To be fair, briars cut up leather if given the opportunity.) Having a pair of chaps, or opting for thicker fabric would be helpful if you are spending significant time in briars.
i’m 5’4 with a 29 waist and 30 inseam. would a size 6 short be good?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I really would be guessing. I'm 5'8" and bought size 8 tall. My original purchase of 2 pair didn't fit me like I expected. I typically have worn size 10. but they were too big, so I exchanged for size 8.
I've since bought 2 additional pair. I love these pants! They're nice looking and tough, and they wash up very well. The pocket on the right leg holds my phone perfectly.
What is the difference between an 18 and 18 plus?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: A size 18 regular will fit a waist of 38" and an 18 plus will fit a waist of 40 3/4".
Are these pants stretchy?
A shopper on Jul 6, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style does offer the Rugged Flex® stretch technology.
What pants would fit best for a size 5?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would say a 4, as I am a 4 in almost everything, and the 4 in these are a tad big after about 2 hours of wearing them. I say they run a bit big
I’m 5 foot 7 inches tall. 125 lb
Size 2 or 4? I have a 29 waist 31 inseam.
A shopper on Jun 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We would recommend a size 6.
Will you ever be making size 00? Or even 0?
A shopper on May 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We do not have a size 0 or 00. We will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
What is inseam on short?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: 30 inches.

A shopper on Apr 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Short inseam length measures 30".
Why is your smallest size a 2! It’s a little ridiculous you don’t offer smaller sizes for those of us who are smaller than a 2!?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.

Are the utility pockets large enough for smart phones?
Jean H on Oct 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi
My smart phone is a iPhone 7 and it is not in a cover and it fits in the side pocket but if your phone was any bigger it won't fit. The phones do fit in the back pockets but be careful can fall out easily.
