    Rain Defender®
Rain Defender®, Durable water repellent—water beads up and rolls off.

Rain Defender® durable water repellent garments are just as functional and comfortable while fishing, hunting, working, or standing on the sidelines at a football game in a sudden November rain. Water will bead up and roll off your sweatshirt, jacket, overalls, pants, and more, so a little rain won’t stop you from finishing the job without changing your gear.

    Force Extremes®
Don’t hit walls, knock them down with our fastest-drying, odor-fighting gear designed to increase comfort and performance

Force Extremes® increases your comfort in a wider range of conditions, from hot to cold. Stay dry and on the job longer without having to switch out your gear. Fabrics made with 37.5® dry up to five times faster than other fabrics, making this our fastest-drying gear.
How does it work? 37.5® particles are naturally embedded in the fabric, and will never wash out for the entire lifetime of the garment. The particles don’t just move water around, like traditional wicking does-they evaporate it.
When you wash your Carhartt Force Extremes® gear, the odors are released into the wash and the technology is refreshed to trap odors all over again during your next workday.

    Storm Defender icon
    Storm Defender®
Storm Defender®, waterproof breathable technology, stops rain, but let’s sweat escape through a breathable membrane—so you can work through a storm.

Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It's made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn't stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt's jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.

Don’t wear this jacket for Alaska Coho fishing, it can’t hold up to the rain.
Jacket soaked through after 2 hours in the rain. The worst part was taking off briefly and then putting it back on wet. The inner liner is the sleeves is not sown to the shell so the jacket won’t go back on without the inner liner balling up at the cuffs. It’s a great jacket for walking in town but not fishing all day in the rain.

Nick jacket, sleeves are a bit short.
Keeps me dry in rain, breathes well. Size Large sleeves run a bit short. The inner cuff sticks out because the sleeves are so short. Fits everywhere else. Hood is nice, hugs your head and prevents strong wind from blowing the hood back.

Nice enough
Features don't match nicer fishing jackets that run similar prices. My old gear that cost less had nicer features, the ability to really lock cuffs tight to keep water out, water proof front zipper (not just flaps going over it), and vents in the hood so you can run in rain without your hood pulling off. This isn't terrible rain gear, and in at least the inside feel is nicer than other rain gear I've used. The liners feel nice. However, the features just don't justify the price. Quality seems decent.
