Fit & Technology
    Rain Defender icon
    Rain Defender®
Rain Defender®, Durable water repellent—water beads up and rolls off.

Rain Defender® durable water repellent garments are just as functional and comfortable while fishing, hunting, working, or standing on the sidelines at a football game in a sudden November rain. Water will bead up and roll off your sweatshirt, jacket, overalls, pants, and more, so a little rain won’t stop you from finishing the job without changing your gear.

    Force Extremes®
Don’t hit walls, knock them down with our fastest-drying, odor-fighting gear designed to increase comfort and performance

Force Extremes® increases your comfort in a wider range of conditions, from hot to cold. Stay dry and on the job longer without having to switch out your gear. Fabrics made with 37.5® dry up to five times faster than other fabrics, making this our fastest-drying gear.
How does it work? 37.5® particles are naturally embedded in the fabric, and will never wash out for the entire lifetime of the garment. The particles don’t just move water around, like traditional wicking does-they evaporate it.
When you wash your Carhartt Force Extremes® gear, the odors are released into the wash and the technology is refreshed to trap odors all over again during your next workday.

    Storm Defender icon
    Storm Defender®
Storm Defender®, waterproof breathable technology, stops rain, but let’s sweat escape through a breathable membrane—so you can work through a storm.

Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It's made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn't stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt's jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.

My son hasn’t had an opportunity to test yet therefore can’t give a durability review and the reason for four stars instead of 5.

Excellent product
I’ve fished in it once so far in a 10 hour tournament. It rained most of the day and very hard for a few hours. The jacket and bibs kept me dry with no problems.

It would be nice if they made the jacket with the neck sleeve like some others on the market as sideways rain can get into the hood cavity.
Also wish they made an insulated set, that’s my next purchase.. looking into Simms

Best bib for the money!
Man, I've been looking for a bib that was affordable, functional, and looks good and this one is it! Couldn't be happier with it. Definitely a spring and fall bib. Winter conditions might be too cold and summer time will be too hot but it's perfect for those spring and fall storms.

Tough to get right fit
The large is a bit tight and the x-large is a bit loose. I wish the straps were designed so you could shorten without ending up with the buckles resting on your shoulders or upper back.

Would i have to treat these after some time?? And also, how do they stand up to a heavy rain for long I

Would I have to treat these after some time or after washing? And how do they stand up to heavy down pours for long periods of time? Iv all ready paid this kind of money for 2 rain suits that don't work!
A shopper on Aug 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Ive had my storm defender suit for several months now and have zero issue with leaks or even getting damp. I’ve sat down in the water puddles formed during heavy rains on will driving my bass boat and still did not get wet. As far as washing goes I have not sent mine through the washer or anything like that. After use in the rain I let them air dry and haven’t had any issue with wet smells. Also have not had to add anything to keep them waterproof such as camp dry.
Hope this helps!
I'm 6'3" how am I supposed to know if they will be long enough?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The inseam is 31."
It says in description it has a large tall so why don't it have the option in sizes?
A shopper on May 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We apologize for the confusion, this style is not offered in tall sizes. We are working on updating our website.
Do you have to take them off to relieve yourself or is there a zipper to avoid that?
Kevin on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yep. There is a two way sturdy zipper in both the jacket and the bib. Worked great for me at Table Rock and at KY Lake during rainy tournaments. No struggle at all. I looked at every different brand and I am really happy with my carhartt’s. Even the hood on the dang jacket is adjustable if you wanna wear it over a hat. Good luck.
Do these tend to run big or small?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They run true to size. If you want to compare them to bass pro shops 1 and 200 MPH suit, they run a little bigger (1/4 to 1/2 size). I'm not sure what the person above is comparing them to, but I'm surprised by them feeling it runs small.
I tried a large pair of these on, and really like them. However, too long for me.. Will there be a short size in the future, like there is for shoreline bibs?
Peter B on Apr 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not in the near future, but we'll be happy to share your input with Product Design.
I really like these but worry about them getting staind by fish mess will these be made in black this year?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not show plans to offer this style in black this year. We are happy to share this with our Product Design team as a suggestion.
