By far the best boots I have ever owned
First off I have owned many other brands and none of them lasted longer then 6 months. Second for the last 8 years I have had horrible foot pain at the end of each 12 hour work day. But all that changed when I bought these boots I have had the same boots for over a year and it's wonderful their so comfortable no more foot pain. The bottom of the boots really do self clean no more tracking in big clumps of dirt. After 1 year there's still water proof. Thank you carhartt

Falling by the tread.
The boots are well made. Very, very comfortable. No need to break them in, best wearing boots right out the box. Great boot if your on your feet a lot. Only complaint is the tread. I don't see the tread depth is that great. When you spend $180 on a pair of boots you would expect them to last 4-5 years. Only time can tell if the tread will wear down quickly or not. The tread will get clogged quick with mud or clay.

Wont last 4 months, shortest life span I ever got from 100+ dollar boots.
Worse boot I've ever owned. Started out very comfortably and looked nice. Within 4 months the rubber on out side was coming off and inside matterial had come loose and grabbed your heel when trying to remove and i use a boot puller. Thought I was gonna have to cut it off my foot. Will never buy carhartt boots again I've owned many different brands of boots and for over $100 they should last 8 to 12 months. Shortest life I've ever got from a pair of boots
Rubber peeling away from boot
Heel padding waded up. You can grab it and pull it up.

Good boots, almost perfect
Good boots so far that have the potential to be great. Very comfortable, they feel like walking on a cushion, and seem to be well made. If they are anything like my other Carhartt products then they will last plenty long enough to be worth the cost. The only complaint that I have is that the stitching on the upper edge of the boot is very rough on the inside of your calf. You have to wear some good boot socks that will not ride down or that stitching will rub your calf to the point of being raw during the course of a day. It is particularly bad on the inside of the calf because that is where the seam of the leather joins together and the stitching is heavier and protrudes more in that spot. I wish they would have wrapped the leather over to the inside or covered that spot with something and it would have made these boots perfect. That is the only flaw I have noticed after wearing them for a couple of weeks now. I ordered some over the calf boot socks that wont ride down.

Should I use saddle soap and mink oil to clean and condition these boots?
A shopper on Jan 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would not buy these boots. I had them 6 months and the soles separated from the rest of the boot. I like the way they fit they just didn't hold up very good
What does waterproof breathable mean? Will i get wet feet walking/ working in 6 " of snow
A shopper on Nov 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This boot will be waterproof, however it will still allow your feet to breathe.
Are these boots good for wetlands?Often encounter mud and standing water. Can they be rinsed off?
A shopper on Mar 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I rinsed the soles and edges of mine recently with a hose and they had no issues. Although if you are in serious water and mud a rubber or traditional Wellington may be better. I was very pleased how the tread easily released the mud. These have been fantastic for my needs, mud and rain days.
what is the shaft circumference?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The measurement may vary by size. Please contact us with the size you are interested in for further assistance. You can reach us by phone at 800-833-3118 Monday-Friday from 8am-9pm EST and Saturdays 9am-5pm EST, by Live Chat Monday-Friday 9am-12am or Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm EST or anytime by email at just_ask_us@carhartt.com.

Clarissa S on Dec 8, 2018

Is there a steel shank in the bottom of the boot?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There will be a composite shank in this boot.

Why is your smallest shoe size 8? Have the hardest time finding a good pair of boots in my size. Maybe try expanding your selection.
A shopper on Nov 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
Does the boots come with a warranty?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Style CME1355 carries a one-year warranty from the date of purchase for defects in manufacturing.
Water proof?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This style is Waterproof breathable.
What is the slip resistance rating of these boots?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We categorize our slip resistance as Good, Better and Best. This style offers the best slip resistance.
What should be used for treatment with this boot?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The best way to clean the boots is with water and a mild soap. We recommend letting them air dry before wearing them. We do not suggest putting any post waterproof application on the boots for a year to stay within our warranty policy. If and when you do, you should use a silicon base material so it does not deteriorate the silicon treated leather. This boot should remain waterproof throughout the life of the boot.
