A bit stiff. I am sure it’s because it is brand new. While riding my motorcycle in cold weather, I could not feel any cold or wind. Extremely effective jacket.

A must have for working in cold weather
I love my Yokon Extreme Arctic coat. I bought this coat because I live and work in Mongolia. I have never been cold even when flooding our outdoor ice rink all night at -40.

Great except for the Velcro
Fits like a “normal” xl which is good. Only annoying thing is when the jacket is unzipped, the Velcro on the zipper cover tries to stick to the rest of the jacket, including the almost constant sound.

It says this coat is made of nylon. Does the color fade after washing as the duck material does?
Mary D on Dec 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I bought the Yukon Extreme Arctic coat and bibs. I have washed them several times and have not noticed any fading. I live in Mongolia and have loved my Yukon Extreme Arctics. I have never been cold even at -40.
What size should I Order?
I’m 6’2 330lbs
I usually wear 4xl tall tshirts
A shopper on Dec 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. You are welcome to use our Size & Fit Guide with your measurements. Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
How many pockets in this c55?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2019
What attachable hood works for this coat in a5x?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You would need a size 2-5 in the hood.
What is the difference, between the large and the large(tall)?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The large tall is two inches longer in the length of the jacket and the sleeve length.
my son is 6' 2' 155 lbs what size should I get?
victoria h on Dec 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. You are welcome to use our Size & Fit Guide with your measurements. Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
whats the length for a medium?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The center back length for the size medium regular is 31 1⁄4 inches.
Are you able to embroider or put stitching on this coat? If wanting to put first name on it or company logo?
Andrew H on Dec 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is extremely thick fabric and we had a very difficult time embroidering this jacket. It's possible, but I would purchase a sample jacket first and bring it to your embroidery shop to make sure they have the appropriate equipment.
How can I take out the stiffness on the extreme arctic coat?
A shopper on Dec 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not easily. This is 1000 denier Cordura nylon. Very, very tough but very stiff. Had mine 6 months and its still stiff, but blocks the cold wind completely. I have an L.L. Bean Maine Warden's parka and my Yukon Extreme is warmer with better pockets. I live in the Cascades mountains at 4250 MSL and this coat rules the cold.
How about making this coat in the dark blue color?
A shopper on Nov 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
I have read on numerous comments that the jacket runs big. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 140lbs. Is small "true to the size chart" or would the small be too big for me and not worth ordering? i am asking about the Youkon Extreme coat
Jim S on Nov 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I ordered an XL since I am 6’1” and 215 pounds and my chest is 46”. I was swimming in the jacket to where I felt you could almost fit 2 of me in it. I exchanged for a large at the Carhartt flagship store in Detroit. The large is a little big on me, but with the perfect amount of room for more layers and flexibility to swing an axe or shovel snow compared to the medium. This jacket is extremely hot for how thin and light it is though. I usually only wear a thermal shirt or t-shirt under it.
Which is warmer this (c55) or c26?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These will have the same warmth.
How many grams of insulation is the arctic quilt?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style will have 100% Nylon Taffeta (Batting: 100% Polyester) 10.6 oz. sq. in the body and 8 oz. sq. in the sleeves.
Sleeve length for size xl tall?
A shopper on Oct 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The sleeve length measured from the center back will be 40 3/8".
Hello... I'm interested in this item (Yukon Extreme Coat/Artic), how do I purchase a hood for this product?
Trinidad Gerard R on Oct 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The matching hood will be style 102364.
I've gotten two sweatshirts from here, and both were kind of big and baggy. I'm 6'1 183 lbs. Should i get a medium or large?
Shane M on Oct 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I got an XL and they are a bit big but I do like mine that was. I would be safe to say a large a medium may be too snug.
Is the Artic Extreme good for harsh winds and zero below temperatures? I am a crane rigger and work in all elements on the water? Is there Artic Extreme in Women's too? As it is hard to find good winter gear to suit me and my rugged job.
A shopper on Oct 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: My son is in Alaska and he was sweating when wearing this in the dead of winter.
I normally wear xl so I'll buy a l. But I do like them to be a little long. Where does this coat hang? I'm 6' and I hate it when I lift my arms up and my jacket rides up to my chest.
A shopper on Oct 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: buy a Large (Tall) it gives you more coat length without widening the coat.
Why does carhartt not give a temperature rating? There is a difference is 32 degrees versus below zero. A temperature rating for material would be helpful in the future
A shopper on Oct 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments because everyone has a different threshold for what they consider to be warm.
I'm 5'7" 170 lbs and normally like a looser fit. what is the best size for my build?
omanz on Sep 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We would recommend going by your chest measurement and following the Size and Fit Guide located on the garment page. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-833-3118 for further sizing assistance.
C26 small size fits me,but C003 small doesn't fit me. Which one is some size with C55 size? Thanks.
A shopper on Aug 12, 2019

I am 6 ft. 200 pounds my chest is 45 inches and my waist is 35 inches will a xl be to baggy on me?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Based on your measurements we would recommend a size Large. Please contact our Customer Service Department for further sizing assistance.
Is the coat true to size?
A shopper on Jan 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I bought a 5xl because I was afraid it would be too small ... that was a mistake ... this jacket is BIG. Buy the size you need, don't compensate.
Im 6'0 195 with a long torso , I want this jacket but dont know what size to get,I want room and a some length, inwas thinking a xl reg, what do you think?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I ordered the XL Reg for my husband who is 6,0" and 175 lbs. and it is a great fit in the arms and shoulders, little roomy in the body, but that is great for layering. He loves it and is so pleased.
I am going above the artic circle for a week the first week of February and have been told to dress for -40 Will this coat keep me warm?
Ron H on Jan 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This will be one of our warmest lined coats.
What other style would this compare to? For example in the bibs i jormally take 46x32 but in these i take 44 just wondering if the coat is the same way? I have several carhartt coats in similar styles trying to get the size right the first time ?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is fairly similar to the C003. To best advise you, we'd need your waist and chest measurements.
Is this coat FR?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, it is not.
I just received this coat for a gift for Christmas. It’s a little large but it think the next size down will be too small. Is there anyway to shrink this coat?
A shopper on Jan 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, there is not a way to intentionally shrink the coat without potentially damaging it.
