Quality bibs for sure. I use them for work and also when I go snowboarding. Easy to layer underneath, but the majority of the time I don't even need to. 100% would recommend.

Dark Brown, I like.
First, I like the color and that is the reason I chose these. I wish Carhartt would offer the dark brown in other trousers.

Next, I like that these are stone-washed, since they feel broke in. I would recommend buying the size according to your use, that is, if youre wearing over blue-jeans or other trousers.

Last they may run slightly small. I gave appearance 4 stars only because I wish Carhartt would offer this color in other trousers/bibs, otherwise the appearance is 5 stars. I may have chosen an additional trouser (non-bib) in the same color.

Well worth it
Product works as advertised, only complaint is they shrink faster than they wear. So i still have plenty of wear left in them but theyre now too short for me, I'm 6'5"

Rarely dissatisfied with Carhartt products and this is no exception!
These fit well as long as you don’t layer, unlike the duck bibs which allow plenty of room for layering, otherwise they fit and feel great! They are definitely made for milder temps which is exactly what I was after.

Does the R41 have Double knees with cleanout bottoms that accommodate knee pads like the R27?
A shopper on Jan 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does.
I wear a 36x34 in jeans what size bibs do i need to wear with clothes underneath?
A shopper on Jan 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This style requires that you go up two sizes from your midsection measurement (at the fullest part) if you are wearing clothing underneath.
Is there a matching green vest?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, style V02. The link for this item is below:

If my size is out of stock, how soon will you get it in? I'm 30x30
A shopper on Dec 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, this doesn't come in 30x30. Bear in mind, however, that this style requires you to upsize. So, if your waist is 30," you probably need a 32" or 34" waist depending on whether you plan to wear this over clothing or not.
Are the straps longer for Big & Tall than Regular?
Cindy H on Dec 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The strap length is the same for all sizes (23").
If I wear a 44/30 pants what size bibs should I order?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You would need to measure your midsection at the largest point. Then, if you are planning to only wear light layers or undergarments underneath, you would go up one size. If you plan to wear pants or other heavy layers underneath, you would go up two sizes.

So, if 44" is the measurement at the fullest part of your midsection, you would order either a 46 or a 48.
Is there a zipper front fly on these STYLE #R27 bibs? Also, are there snaps at the bottom of the legs to keep the zipper from opening or to maybe narrow the size of the leg opening?
ksing44 on Dec 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this garment features a zipper fly. The garment has storm flaps over the leg zippers, but there are not snaps within the storm flaps.

What’s difference between R27 and R02 bibs?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The R02 is discontinued. It featured a firm duck outer shell, while the R27 has the more broken-in feeling sandstone duck. They both zip to the knee and feature a midweight lining.
Is the sandstone duck as good as the firm duck when it comes to protection from cactus/thorns etc.?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is just as durable.
Do you carry any bibs in big men's sizes?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do carry a large variety of sizes. Please contact us with your chest and waist measurements for assistance.
Red lined?
Ditter on Nov 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This style does not have red lining.
I am entering the wind energy sector, and need working clothes that insulate and work under winter conditions from 100-600ft. Flexibility and durability in the knees is valuable, and as is water resistance. Is this model recommended for these conditions?

Sandstone Duck Bib Overall / Quilt-Lined
Sandstone Duck Bib Overall / Quilt-Lined
Bartlett Jacket / Sherpa Lined
Bartlett Jacket / Sherpa Lined
BEST ANSWER: Both garments should be very durable. They are not water-repellent, but can be treated with Scotchgard or Nikwax to help give them some water repellency. The R27 has a mid-weight insulation, and the Bartlett has a Sherpa lining, which will provide warmth, but garments with Arctic Quilt and Quilted Flannel linings will provide more warmth. Feel free to give us a call with any further questions at 1 800 833 3118.
Washing instructions?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The care instructions are as follows: Machine Wash Cold - Like Colors - Zipped, Do Not Bleach, Tumble Dry Low, Remove Promptly, Steam Iron Shell Only
Because they're walked and made softer, does that make them any less durable?
A shopper on Dec 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our Sandstone duck is just as durable as our Firm duck.
Do you make the R27 pre washed in the duck brown color?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this style is offered in Carhartt Brown.
I'm looking for insulated bibs in 2xl tall!! In Dark Brown! How can I order if available?
Chris I on Dec 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on waist sizes. Please contact us with your waist size for further assistance.
How will these fit compared to the R03? I am a 36/30 with jeans/hoodie on underneath in the R03. What size should get these sandstone bibs?
A shopper on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the sizing is the same as our Style R03. For example if you have a 34 waist we recommend a 36 if worn over light layers and a 38 if worn over heavy layers.
How do i chose the correct size?
A shopper on Dec 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes for this style are based on waist measurements. Please contact us with your waist measurement for further assistance. You can reach us by phone at 800-833-3118 Monday-Friday from 8am-9pm EST and Saturdays 9am-5pm EST.

A shopper on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The style number is located on the inner tag near the size. Please contact us if you need further assistance.
What is the difference between the R27 and the R2? Both are bottom insulated. Both have zip to knee.
A shopper on Dec 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The R02 has a firm duck outer shell, so it will feel stiffer and take longer to break in. The R27 is sandstone duck, so it has been microsanded to feel a bit more broken in.
Are these pre-washed or can I expect them to shrink and if so how ?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this style is prewashed. It should not shrink more than 2-4% throughout the life of the garment as long as the care instructions are followed.
Are these available in a five zip?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Please contact us for further assistance.
What size should I get if my waist sixes is 32 and wear light clothing under the bibs?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You would go up to a 34" if you are only wearing undergarments or very close fitting/thin layers. If you are wearing bulkier layers underneath, you would want a 36."
What is the difference between the r27 and the r41 bibs?
A shopper on Nov 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The R41 is our firm duck, so it will feel stiffer. The R27 is sandstone duck, so it will feel more broken in. The R41 has leg zippers that zip up to the thigh, while the R27's leg zippers only zip to the knee. They both feature a midweight quilt insulation.

How warm are these? I know the arctic quilt is warmer, though by how much? I will be using these to work outside here in eastern Canada which can get pretty frosty however I can be in and out of a building/house in the same day depending on work at hand. I don't want to be sweating too much if I have to be inside for a few hours. (Carpentry/Reno's)
Funky Bunch on Oct 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments, but we do categorize them as warm, warmer or warmest. This style would be considered warmer and the arctic lining would be considered warmest.
