This belt had the potential to be the last belt I ever purchased. Sadly, I am now in the market for something else. I’ve always had trouble with traditional belts because for my whole life i have been in between holes. I was tired of buying belts and making a new hole in it immediately. I figured the ratchet type would fix that. In theory it does. It clicks to the spot im comfortable with and im good to go… or so I thought. The problem with this belt is the buckle and the way it attaches to the belt. The teeth that are suppose to “grip” the belt don’t do their job. I drive a truck for a living and just in the few times that I have to get in and out of the cab the belt ends up coming free from the buckle. It’s a tad bit embarrassing when you are standing at a fuel pump trying to get the belt back together so your pants don’t fall down. Every day when I put my pants on I have to re attach the buckle to the belt and most of the time I will have to do the same thing again later on. For this reason I can’t recommend this belt to anyone that has to do any type of movement for their job or career.
Doesn't lock at all, it slides off like nothing, I thought I was doing it wrong, so I actually took the time to look at one YouTube vid I found ab this belt. I was doing it right, but I wanted to make sure. going to need my money back

locks in where you want it, releases with one finger.
I am smaller in the waist, so when I first received the belt I needed to cut off a good 9" off the length. I wear it daily for work. easy to put on. easy to take off. I always keep a few things hanging on my belt. All of which have been very secure and has not worn the belt down at all. A+
Let me start by saying I only paid $5 for this belt after discounts and a gift card (So I can't complain too much I guess). With that being said I got exactly what I paid for (A clearance priced "Great Value" belt from Walmart). The track system is made from a cheap feeling plastic, and the lock mechanism is hard to unlock (Especially when actually wearing the belt). The webbing material frays after being cut to size (Also, be smart like I was and try it on first. Because the sizes marked on the belt are way off.), and the stitching is so crooked I'm surprised it's holding together. The part of the belt which is "Leather" feels like a cheap plastic as well, and the buckle feels like aluminum covered in rubber. Overall would I recommend this belt at full price? (Absolutely not.) Would I buy it again for $5? (Maybe, if I needed a belt that might last 2 weeks and I had no access to rope or wire or even an old tube sock to use as a belt instead.) Overall the belt seems like junk and doesn't deserve to even say Carhartt on the buckle. I feel like someone pranked me, and mailed me a "Wish.com" version. I even had to check the buckle out to make sure it didn't actually say "Karhartt" or something. In closing do yourself a favor, save the $30, and just buy an old shoelace from your neighbor's yard sale to use as a belt instead.
