Larger pockets
The outside front pockets are too small. My phone doesn't fit securely in the pocket.

What is the sleeve measurement from shoulder to wrist?
Cheryl H on May 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The measurement may vary by size. Please contact us with the size you are interested in for further assistance. You can reach us by phone at 800-833-3118 Monday-Friday from 8am-7pm, by Live Chat Monday-Friday 9am-12am or Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm EST or anytime by email at just_ask_us@carhartt.com.
is the 3m thinsulate the actual lining?
A shopper on May 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The 3M will be the insulation. The lining will be Quilted nylon.
How warm and breathable is this jacket? I do a lot of outdoor activity and I want something that is breathable and will not make me too hot.
Adrian C on Mar 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We consider this to be one of our very warm linings. It is not specifically advertised as breathable, but with a heavy cotton outer shell and Thinsulate lining, we don't expect you would have any issues.
Is this jacket would resistant?
A shopper on Mar 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This jacket is not water repellant.
How does this jacket do in extreme cold weather temperatures and durability ratings?
A shopper on Feb 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: My husband uses his as a spring/fall work jacket. He often wears hoodie underneath if it’s cold, but then can take off layers or put on as needed. We live in extreme cold temps (winters can easily get to -35 C) and he works outside. Wouldn’t be suitable for those kind of temps...but -10 or -15 C is great. Wore another out, but took years and was washed several times. (He wears it in summer too on colder evenings/days.) Got tons of use...and he really wanted it replaced with same jacket. Yup...we recommend it for durability...and depends what you call extreme cold. It is NOT a Canadian winter jacket.
Hope that helps!
Is size acurate when wearing a hoodie?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes. They're great for layering. I thought they'd run small but they we a just a little big.
Is this jacket waterproof?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style is not waterproof.
Do you have this coat in Gray color?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style is not currently offered in a Gray color.
Is it as heavy as the j130? I'm looking for a light weight coat
A shopper on Jan 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This style will have the same warmth has the J130.
Quilt Lined vs Blanket Lined vs Thermal Lined. Which is the warmest?
Emily G on Jan 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Quilt Lining will be warmer than Thermal Lining.
Unfortunately a small is a bit too small and the medium is a bit too big. Will the duck quilt lined jacket shrink?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No it wont shrink at all. These jackets are super tough and durable. Ive had mine for a while now and nothing seems to phase it at all.
What is the outer shell made of? Just bought the Arctic Quilt Yukon jacket and my husband did not care for the material....too stiff.
Crucita on Dec 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It’s duck material as well. I returned it because of that reason.
What are the differences between this jacket and the J140? Specifically in regards to the outer material and which lining will have better insulation? Thank you.

Does this jacket have cuffed sleeves?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style has internal rib-knit storm cuffs.
What type of sleeves cuffs does it have?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style has internal rib-knit storm cuffs.
Is the quilt lining black and below 0 recommended?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the quilt lining is black. I wouldn't recommend this jacket for below zero temperatures unless you have another layer (like a fleece jacket) underneath. When I'm working in sub-zero temps, I wear a compressible thermoball-filled jacket under this and a good beanie on my head and I'm ok.
Which is the warmest version of the active jacket. Quilt lined or this one?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This jacket is the warmest version.
How warm is this compared to the J140? I like the sleeves and fit of this more but i want to make sure it's at least close to as warm and wind resistant as the J140.
A shopper on Oct 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe it is just as warm.
Is this jacket essentially an upgraded version to the j140? Would it be as warm or warmer as the j140?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This will be similar, however this style will have a Thinsulate lining. It will be just as warm but more light weight.
Are the sleeves smaller in diameter than the J130 ?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the sleeves are slightly smaller in diameter in the 104050 than the J130. The upper arm at armhole is also slightly smaller in the 104050.
are the sleeves smaller the J140 ?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The length will be less than an inch shorter.
What kind of duck is this washed or Cotton? And is it similar to sandstone?
Freestatgunner on Sep 15, 2019
Is this wind resistant and/or water resistant?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is
How is the fit for this "updated version" compared to the original J130 and J140?
Anthony on Aug 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The fit of the 104050 is closest to J130. The main difference between the 2 styles is the the rib knit band length. The J130 fits closer to the body at the bottom band, while the 104050 is looser at the bottom band. The J140 is similar to both of these styles but has the most ease over body; it has a roomier fit than the J130 and 104050.
