Since 1889, Carhartt has been building best-in-class apparel for the active worker. Our founder, Hamilton Carhartt, spoke to railroad workers on the job as he developed Carhartt’s very first products. Not only have we been making clothes for the worker for over a century, we’ve been talking to our consumers for over a century. In order to make sure our products will continue to serve your needs for the next century, we’ve enlisted an army of hardworking men and women to help us develop a better product and experience. We call these folks "Groundbreakers."

Perfect for welder/bladesmith!
Purchased this shirt as a gift for my nephew who is an aspiring bladesmith. I was too sure about the sheen to the fabric...I thought perhaps he wouldn't like it. BUT....after a day in the shop being showered with sparks, the shirt proved itself 100% worth every penny! I highly recommend this shirt to anyone who needs protection, and needs to be able to get the job done without worrying about whether their clothing is up to the task. Nice job Carhartt!!

Stiff but good
Good color and seems to be well put together. It's a little stiffer than I expected, but after washing I'm sure it will soften.

The weight was heavier than expected, as compared to other brands. It wrinkles beyond anything I have ever seen, no matter what I do for the laundry process.

Not a welding appropriate shirt
This shirt looks just like the photo. I give it a low rating because it’s not a good shirt to wear for welding. I purchased this lightweight shirt for my husband and I purchased normal thickness flame resistant shirt for me to weld our fence. Working on the fence for two days and his lightweight shirt has tons of holes in it. I just threw it in the trash. Nice shirt if you’re looking for a typical outdoor work shirt but do not purchase for welding.

THE BEST
These are my husband’s favorite shirts. He wore them as an oil tanker driver and after retiring and becoming a volunteer firefighter, he continues to wear them. They are comfortable, look good and the big and tall size fit his 6’4, 200# frame perfectly.
