Very disappointed
I am EXTREMELY disappointed in these pants especially being Carhartt. I loved the fit of the non FR original pants but these are nothing like them. They are very tight and fit only skinny women. It's hard enough to find FR's for women and not even carhartt can make a decent pair of FR pants. Sending back tomorrow...

Looked durable, but too small
Runs small- I am a size 8 in most pants that I wear. I could not even get these on.

Runs at least 2 sizes too small.
So disappointed. They run EXTREMELY small. I was excited to see 12 pairs of work pants come in for me at work today. I ordered a size 14 because I wear a size 12 in pants and wanted room to be able to really move. I couldn't even button these pants! It was seriously that bad. I'm worried about trying a 16 these were so tight. Now I have 12 pairs of pants that don't fit and it will take a month to get new ones through work just to have no idea if they will fit or not.

Runs Small with Plumbers Crack Showing
Awful! Uncomfortable! Restricting! Had the rugged canvas pants and ordered a new pair of pants from our FR website. They switched to the Flex style. Sizing is small. "Curved" waist comes down in back so you are exposed when you sit. Rise on these is so short that the waist band is actually across hip bones - not at waist. These are not mid-rise they are hip huggers. Cut through crotch is also short so you get a wedgie. No room to wear long underwear underneath. Can't move to do work. Terribly disappointed in these pants. Would return if I could.

way too tight. order up. lower your expectations.
I am a size 6 pant and size small shirt in all Carhartt women's products, except the FR line. When I ordered these, I was hoping for something akin to the series 1889 slim work pant. I needed these ASAP for a work trip out to the oil patch, and ordered a size 6 (as I wear 4/6 in all of my wardrobe).

When I received the pants I was dismayed because i could barely fit my butt or thighs in them, and they were incredibly tight! I wore them out for an stupidly swampy field day in the 103 degree Texas heat. The side leg pocket was too constrictive to even hold my cell phone, and the pants themselves felt like the equivalent of foot binding for my thighs. The pants were quick to dry with all of the sweat, but the experience within the pants was so tight and uncomfortable on my junk that it didn't matter.

I returned the first pair and re-ordered a size 8, and I'm still disappointed at how tight they are through the thighs and butt. Please, Carhartt, make a FR pant somewhere in between these and the frumpy baggy pair! Give a little more room to us bubble butt ladies!

Let go of your ego and preventatively order a size up if you have any semblance of a butt or athletic thighs. The pants themselves look fine. A little too much flare in the lower leg which i perceive as kind of frumpy, but whatever-- they don't look terrible.

If you're looking for a fitted FR pant that stretches more, I'd direct you to the denim ones, I've also ordered those and they're a little more forgiving.

But seriously, whoever you are out there who designs this FR line-- you need to re-evaluate the sizing. I'm a faithful Carhartt girl, but every time my workplace gives me an allowance for additional FR gear I give serious thought to giving my business to a competitor line.

Great pants but not made for women
For some reason companies cannot get FR pants for women right. Women have curves and women have bootys. These pants fit great everywhere except my butt. The material was so tight around the back side that I would not be able to sit.

Very underwhelmed
Not impressed with these at all. I had read in other reviews that they ran small, so I ordered a size up from my usual size 4. Received them, put them on... And the size 6 that I ordered was FAR too small. The Carhartt size chart definitely doesn't work for these... If I want a pair that I can actually get done up and have any room to work in, I would have to order a size 10.
Additionally, these definitely aren't made for women that have any bit of curves. The 6 was so tight in my upper thighs and butt, but huge around the lower leg and ankle. These fit worse than a men's pant would.
Now I'm stuck with the hassle of having to pay for return shipping from Canada.
While I've always loved Carhartt, this definitely made me rethink my previous unwavering loyalty to the brand. Would be nice to see them actually design women's pants to fit women's bodies.

Way too small in the waist
I have Carhartt Series 1889 in size 8 and I love them so I was excited to see this FR material available for women. All the men I work with love their FR159 jeans. When I put these on they were no where near close to buttoning. Waist is way off in sizing.

Couldn't get my hands in the front pockets.
The hips and thighs were too tight and the waist was a too large, but this was expected based on the size chart. The front pockets are a big disappointment though-must be sized for toddler hands. These are WORK pants for the love of god give us appropriately sized pockets!!! I liked everything else about the pants but small pockets are a deal breaker.

I wonder if the sizing can be compared to the rugged professional style?
RitaQ837663877 on Dec 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure I know which pant you are referencing when you state "rugged professional style". The styles I tried were the Original Fit Rugged Flex Canvas Pant which was roughly true for my size and have worked out for me. The other style was the Loose Fit Midweight Canvas Jean that if I were to order I would order it a size up because of where it sits on your waist.
Iv read complaints of the legs big very big & baggy, also sizing issues. Has this been addressed ? also, Are these boot cut or straight leg?
A shopper on Nov 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No boot cut vs. straight leg. These will fit over any boot you could possibly wear. I'm sure that's where the big and baggy leg reviews came from. I found one size larger was good for me. These are mid rise, so depending on how wide your hips are will determine how to size up. I have a lot of thigh, so I didn't find the legs too big. Not much flex, so bigger legs allows for more mobility. FYI, I'm 5'4, so I usually wear regular length and they're just a little long. I had to get SHORT and they were a little long, but I wasn't walking on the hem.
Has the sizing issue been resolved?
A shopper on Nov 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These pants should be accurately sized. Please contact us at 1 800 833 3118 if you are having any concerns with the sizing of the garment.
Are these high in durability? Looking for something I can wear for walking through fields for hunting.
corrie c on Oct 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is a durable 9 ounce fabric. However, we do not typically recommend selecting FR (Flame Resistant) clothing unless you need it for your place of work.
